How didn't these win? - CFF Contest 2016!

I know that it's up to the GMs on who wins and who doesn't but the fact that these videos didn't even get any recognition is beyond me. So I am posting these here to show you guys that these players deserve some credit.

That some great editing on both videos. I wish the they got recognised more.

Ehhh the winners were kinda iffy, would've preferred it to be like last year's where they at least gave 2nd and 3rd place winners prizes too so that more people got recognition.

Well, it's completely subjective on whether or not something is good or not.

What might be a fine looking piece of art to you might be a turn off for someone else.

Although I personally like the featured Video more than the current winners, I hardly find it questionable that it didn't get chosen.

For alas, it simply was not meant to be.

All videos were judged through multiple rounds of the judging process. While we had a lot of good videos and it was hard to pick, the winners on the announcement thread were the ones we chose as the best. To all of those who did not win a category, better luck next time and thanks for participating

Yeah, I completely understand that the judging process went through several stages and I respect the desicions made by the GMs. I personally find these two videos to be one of the best CF editing videos that I have seen in the last 7 years. I simply only wanted these videos to get some recognition thus, why I made this thread.

Also was there any specific reason to why there wasn't a second or a third place winners this time? I was just wondering...

Even though I no longer play, I feel like this game is going to die petty soon.

GMs don't know how to give proper recognition to this edits. Not just CF edits but the forum community as well. They gave MOD status to people that never got in the forums, yet veterans like you or the guy with 6k posts ( forgot his name ) don't have it yet

Stopped supporting this game in December and it was the best decision for sure.

Because they don't know how to judge events for there lives, hence why the skin contest was a total failure. Glad to see there's people that got jipped like I did lmfao.

Not everyone wants to be a MOD. There have been quite a few worthy candidates on these forums. This guy should have entered for the comedy, he would have won by a long margin.

I'll be honest. I dislike both videos you mentioned. Im not an expert, I see a decent gameplay but then stop bum skip and camera shaking from left to right stop bum stop bum stop bum skip bum bum skip then a preview of maps and again stop bum skip bum stop bum skip,at some point you barely understand a thing because they cut and skip so much,all those because the song is no longer than 1-2 mins... this is too exaggerated.
+1 for the music tho.. but just that and the way one of them shows the maps.

Yeah those 2 vids show fine edit, but there's no content like Golden ^ already mentioned.
