Mate I don't think you realised you're also part of the reason why knife mode isn't the same as it was from like 2009 - early 2011...

"Noobs" such as yourself going around with OP knives that killed that mode long, long ago. It hasn't been ruined recently, knife mode has been dead for about over 5 years.

Login boxes give Kukri UG, Knife UG, you can get Shovel UG from that new mission thingy, ZM gives gloves, kris, baton, the events with free crates you can get the Axe and Shovel, GM crates had Axe Ares (they changed some weapons so idk what's in them now), and with the coupons that you get from the free crates, you can get Black knife and Wrench.

So really, you have plenty of free Melees. Don't complain.

To get OP guns now, do the tasks (special mission) and play alot and you will get ZP guns.

Well, older players like myself all got a combat axe permanent for coupons back in the day, i assume u weren't here for that, but there are plenty of ways to get temporary melee weapons.

Daily attendance, the boxes, rewards for doing missions, etc. Also a balloon hammer, and that awful broken kukri. heck ive had a pair of brass knuckles for about a month and a half now just from attendance rewards xD. You can also get them from doing all the various zombie modes. You will end up getting the boxing gloves a lot though if u do zombie mode stuff.

OR you could get super lucky like me and get a laser dagger in 10 crates xD problem solved! jk, that's a once in a lifetime kind of thing v.v that i still can't believe happened to me.

Yea as stated lots of decent melee temporaries to be found throughout the game. Some require a little effort others not so much. Though I would say I wouldn't mind seeing a new melee hit the perm coupon weapons on the next set change. But another melee for GP. Nope. not gonna happen. At BEST you might see a knife variant end up in the GP Black Market that is just a reskin or the normal knife. But pretty much when they make something a ZP item it eliminates anything equal to or better than it from ever being in anything GP wise at least permanently. And honestly the Broken Crystal Kukri is not a bad weapon it just looks god awful but it's readily available at super ease for any and all nabs.

Oh and if you play or rather win ZM2 Shipyard enough, you can get Crab Claws permanently. Which are a love/hate melee. I personally love them and think their double right click attack is kinda OP but others hate how slow they are. And their left click slicing isn't all that great IMO. But just playing Shipyard might net you temporary crab claws.

@Zyko I believe you can or could hit a 7 or 30 days of Kukri-Striped Tiger or something like that in the GM crate as well.
