How!?

As you guys can see on this screen-shot, the following players for USA total a great '465' points, where as GB only totals '431' points (USA leading by 34 points) but yet team GB is number one on the list and not only that but USA are not even in the top 10, as shown below. Is this a bug or am I missing something out?

PS: USA wake up please, we have to do even better if we want to win a Super RARE Olympic games Ribbon.

  • Just to keep mind, I know there could be more players contributing for team GB that are not even in the top 10 list, but it's really hard to believe that with our hard working 4 USA players (as shown above), still haven't done enough to bring USA into the top 10.. I'm confused lol.

You're in team usa also, yet I never see you online. You can't expect others to do the whole job when you're not contributing yourself.
  • Yes. Some lists are strange. lol

That is strange, because i see him online. He's from Europe, maybe thats why, lol.
  • bro, we will never get the ribbon because of those rules "averages" even if the top 3 players from USA team.. just admit it
we did our best in ZM2 challenge (4players were in ZM2 list including 1st & 2nd places) but wasnt enough..
[GM]Kanadian said that it will be fair
Stay tuned to this post for more details, I promise you'll see how it is fair
but that's not fair at all, i'm very disappointed :(
  • The reason events like this are bad is because it basically all comes down to luck. You either made a good choice or you didnt. You will never be able to raise a country's average on your own.
    Unfair and not fun.

    ^True.
I hope I'll never see an event like this one ever again... they could add a requirement kills/wins/etc that differ from a country to another if the percentage of people (quantity) is different. Players who don't meet the requirement are not counted and awarded with the prizes for that challenge.
From my point of view, at this moment Great Britain/Mexico/Russia have the lowest quantity of players. With 4-6 players they can carry the whole country to top 1 while other countries have to do double or triple the amount of points. I might be wrong but its just my opinion.
So.. for me as a player who support United States, quality sucks. Its not about quality its about quantity.

Yeah, I see them giving better prizes to the winning countries, but ribbon.. Seriously.. the ribbon? WOW.. I just have a feeling that they thought it would be fair at the begginning like the rest of us, but now they see how its not and are too stubborn to change what they said, so it will just stay this way in favour of the minority. GG WP Z8, you juked us all.

    Well said, man! =)
P.S. Hope it is a bug and the USA has gold there! =P
  • Whats complete BS was the Headshot Diving event.

I was here until 2 AM of today saw the following ranks: (i was top 6)
    1-GB
    2-Portugal
    3-China

And somehow now at 10 AM (after the event is supposedly over) im now top 8 and the ranks are:
    1-Mexico
    2-GB
    3-China
    4-Portugal

how?? Mexico wasn't even in the top for the last hours of the event and somehow the whole players managed to boost their average on less than 4 hours? complete BS not to mention team CHINA farming in public rooms and abusing the kick system vote. I sent them a ticket but i still see those two chinese farmers on the top of the list.

  • The scores will change once the GMs come into the office on Monday. It is expected that the scores will be right around 5PM EST on Monday.

Dude look at "headshot trampoline" challenge and you will understand easy. They don't need more than 1/10 of the points other countries make to get on top 1. That being said when you do 1.000, someone just like you but supporting mexico does 100 and its equal with you. And if he does 1.000 then its equal with 10.000 :D
    This is just a speculation!
  • As we have mentioned before about this event, this about overall contribution not just numbers (which was always requested). The numbers are averaged and countries have minimum number of users required to participate, which gives everyone the same chance to contribute and win any specific sport they target. Again and for the last time, just because you believe you should win doesn't mean that you actually was the top player in terms of either time/kills/wins or whatever the requirement of that particular event was.

Based on the event setup, there are only two ways you can target being on the top for any individual event:

    1. Community Collaboration

    - Players registered in a specific country are communicating with each other

    2. Event Targeting

    - Players registered in a specific country are targeting specific events only to guarantee a win

For example, the reason probably behind Egypt not winning any medals so far is because the majority of the players who selected Egypt are not following the actual events and just playing random modes/games.

As for the data on the page, please note that the data is not live, therefore there is a 3/4 hours delay between your game progress and it being reflected on the page. Like any ranked event you should compete until the last minute if you want to ensure a place on the top, for example if you see yourself or your country on the top and there is only 2 hours remaining to the event itself, this means that there will be still 4-6 hours worth of data and people playing to be added.

As for what you call "farming", there are measures taken in the tracking to exclude abusive users, and we also review users logs manually. However, farming using an illegal software is something, and just spending hours manually or with friends accumulating points for any particular event is something else. We do review the records on a regular basis, but if this something you choose not to "believe", then unfortunately there is nothing we can do to explain more than this.

Our suggestion is to follow the methods above, and communicate with your teammates about targeting specific events. There are 9 completely new events remaining, and any country can basically win any of them if they targeted that particular event.

Finally, please refrain from any insinuations or any violations of the forum rules. GMs/MODs do not intervene in this event and we have no preference whatsoever in terms of which country/group is winning. It is all about playing the game at the end.
