Movement update?

my name is sabba. i have played crossfire for ~4 years from 2009-2013.

I'm saying this because the movement seems to be really different and bad now compared to what it used to be? Can someone elaborate?

  • It still feels like it's been the same since always to me.

    If you played other FPS Games extensively in that 3 Year gap, perhaps that is why it feels rather "off" to you.
  • i played this game for more than 5000 hours.. i can't believe how odd it feels and different to what it used to be

    not only pressing WASD feels weird, but also moving the mouse around lol...

    ^and yes i did play cs go for these past 3 years.. but still
  • I didnt notice anything different and I've been here since it opened.
    Unless you count the bhop 'helper' they implemented to make bhopping easier, but that didnt effect any other aspect of movement.
  • Movement still seems as sloppy as ever to me, getting stuck on corners and invisible walls, and getting stuck in team mates has always been crossfires thing! xD Iv'e played since 2009 to now, and it still feels the same it always has for me haha.
  • No y'all are wrong. OP yes that's true. The movement with the feet and torso have been modified these past years, it's not the same as it was years ago and tbh with you, they just made it worse. It's not like it NEEDS to be changed but I would prefer the old movement from the start.
    The torso of the characters was more bent over, but now it looks like it's straighter. (maybe the reason we get neck shots (20dmg to the neck) so often now than before)
    Also you know the flop back/the hands out animation when you kill someone? That got changed aswell.

    I think the reason for this is because Z8 keeps trying to fix glitches and end up f***ing up the maps in different ways. An example would be in Eagle Eyes they fixed a glitch in mid, but now you can hardly jump over the concrete wall without getting stuck half the time.
  • What i want to see is the Ladders fix, this was proven a LONG time ago, but if you have LOW FPS, you can fly up and down the ladders like it's not even an issue. But if you have HIGH FPS you turn into a snail on ladders and can hardly even go up them. Me having 200+fps at all times, i have to completely avoid ladders because i just can't get up them fast enough to do any good... I see team mates fly up and down them, yet when i try to go i go about .00000001 mph lmao...
