I just wanted to ask whether ping is country related ( the country you live in) or internet connection related? I live in Pakistan where ping is most of the time 200+... Help!

This is CFNA/UK, so the servers are far away from you, obviously, your ping will be high.

Well, the Ping is related to where you live in relation to the location of the Server you are trying to connect to.

Pakistan is quite far from the UK Servers so 200 Ping doesn't sound all that unusual, and god forbid you trying to play on NA Servers.

Judging from the Distance, you'd probably have a better Ping in CrossFire China, although I'm not sure if they also have IP Restrictions which block your Area in place.

So maybe I should try out CF China? How much ping will I get there? I've seen in some YouTube videos that players from Na/UK get alot ping there. I'll try it but its damn hard to download!!! And approx how much ping will I get there? Btw I've been playing in the UK servers since 2009.

It's rather hard to say right off the bat, but going out on a limb, depending on the Server infrastructure in CrossFire China, I'd wager a Ping of 80-120 might be within the realms of possibility.

Since you are living in Berlin, I suppose, how much ping do you get in NA / UK ? And in CF china nothing is understandable. Everything is in chinese.... Have you ever tried it?

I get an average of 19-29 Ping regarding the Time of Day in the UK Servers.

In NA I am walking around with a Ping of 120-130.

I've tried CrossFire China back in 2009, and while it certainly is unfortunate that you most likely won't be understanding much seeing how it's all in Chinese, you are going to have to pick your Poison.

Stick around in the Version in which you have 200 Ping, yet can understand stuff, or switch over to the version which is in Chinese and don't understand, but get a better ping, most likely.

As of now, I'd just advise to try CF China out, and see what your Ping is in the Various Servers they have. As for a Tutorial, I'm drawing a blank, since I can hardly remember how to do it. (And providing a Tutorial on how to register might not be in correlation with the Forum Rules.)

There should be some tutorials floating around in the Web.

Oh.. So ill try CF China out. What are the benefits of low ping? I have hardly had it or neither at all. And can we have both the versions? Like both NA/UK and China at the same time? btw, china is in the border of Pakistan.

The benefits of low Ping, is that your bullets register a lot more. With 200 Ping, I'm certain you've had some instances in which your Enemy swallowed all of your Bullets, kills you and you see that you've done little to no damage. The lesser the Ping, the lesser the odds of it happening.

And if you are a Sniper by Heart, the lower the ping, the easier it is to quickswitch your Sniper, contributing alot to your performance with a Sniper.

And yes, there should arise no problems with having both Versions installed.

Try Kill Ping or something like it if you are THAT far away. I live in kansas and still get 60 ping with crossfire ever since they changed their servers, i used to have 30 ping when it was alpha, bravo, charlie servers, now i get 60+ with the way they are now... nothing i can even do about it either sadly, i already contacted support twice, they had me reset my ISP, and connection, then they had me send in a bunch of diagnostics and crap from my computer and we came to the outcome of i can only get it so low where i live -_- which quite frankly is ridiculous, i don't see how i went from 30-60 just because they changed their server layout.

I'm tempted to try kill ping, basically just fewer destinations for the server layout reducing total ping MS, less jumps = faster ping.

I used to have 20-30 in US West. Good old times bro... Now in NA 1 I have around 100, bit less than before (around 120-130). Oh I live in Sonora, México, down Arizona and near California.

On NA I've 120-130
on UK I've 7-10 sometimes I get kicked for hacking ping, lol
on CF-EU I've 4-5
