1 more quick question about pings

How can i improve my ping as of lately? My ping has always been right at 30, but over the last few months of crossfire my ping has gottten considerably worse in game. Now i play and it's like 70-80, sometimes even more depending on the server.

I can guarantee you, my internet has not changed, no policies changed, nothing changed internet wise, location wise, or computer wise. My ping is exactly the same in EVERY other game that it has ALWAYS been. Crossfire is the only game that my ping is bad in, let's face it even though i'm not "lagging" like a 200+ ping person would, it makes the difference in peaking. If you peak with a 30 ping, and peak with a 70-80 ping, you will see the difference. And if you don't, your a pleb LOL jk, it's a twitch thing mods, don't think i'm calling someone a bad name in a foreign language haha xD.

ANYWHO, how do i improve my ping now? I assume my ping is bad now because the crossfire servers location, but it just confuses me that my ping used to be 30, now its freakin 70-80, i haven't relocated or changed internet providers, or service quality etc. I don't have this issue in anyother games at all, and like i said, my ping is exactly the same that it's always been in EVERY OTHER GAME EXCEPT THIS ONE.

I already pay for pretty top notch internet that i can get atm, and iv'e seen others post stuff saying them upgrading their internet did nothing, so obviously i don't wish to follow in their footsteps of spending more and gaining nothing xD

Anyone got some ideas and or tips? 70-80 is just too much for me, i can't play on a bad ping like that... and it's not even THAT bad, so i can't imagine the super high pingers like 200+... Must be awful.

Its happened to me before but it usually only goes up by 10-20. What type of connection are you using, WiFi or Ethernet?

Ethernet of course, Anyone using a PC on wifi is a fool in my opinion rofl. And yes i have always had Ethernet, like i said, nothing here has changed, same internet provider (cox) same speed/connection/ups/downs as i have always had, and again, this is the ONLY game that my ping is like this. I am at a loss, i don't understand how my ping can just go up over the months, i didn't move, i am still in the same house etc etc.

Also i took an internet speed test, which may or may not help, i get 60 megabits down and only 8 up, and it says my latency is 32 ms. BUT my internet has ALWAYS been the same, i never changed the plan, the plan never changed meaning i still get what iv'e always got.

Does it have something to do with the crossfire servers? Perhaps they have relocated or something... I know i don't have the best internet by any means, but it has never failed, i mean i can have 3 gaming pc's going, my ps4, and iphone all on the network and not ever lag or have issues lmao, and most of the time i only have my 1 pc running xD so with only 1 PC getting all of it when it can handle more than that just doesn't make sense to me.

Only thing i can think of is possible packet loss caused by the ISP address, but that's out of my control, there is nothing i can do about that.

I am tempted to try a program called "kill Ping" but again, it's a service you have to pay for in the case that it's just the distance of the servers, but again, i shouldn't be even looking at this kind of stuff when my ping used to be fine in this game xD.

Perhaps something in the background is using up all the bandwidth? Have you tried sending a support ticket? They might be able to help.

Unlikely that something is running in the background, i built my computer myself, so i know what programs are on it, there is no bloatware or anything, and i make sure to close everything before i start playing. I mean, i close everything even razer snyapse for my keyboard and mouse, so i doubt it's any programs, and it's not a virus either, ive triple scanned my computer with malwarebytes and avast! both of them 3 times, so there is nothing on my computer bad like that.

I did however send in a ticket and am waiting for a response, but it takes a few days as always.

The automated response i got was not helpful at all, it just said robotically that there is many issues that could be at hand, and to contact my internet service provider... Even though i have before, and asked them if anything is wrong or changed, or even overloading/congesting the router etc etc, and of course nope....

So here i am with a mysterious bull crap ping, already did everything i could do on my end, and now all i get is an automated response from z8... This game is so over... Can't even get decent support, not even PEOPLE support... Just robot support... Yay... 7-8 years iv'e played this and iv'e never had an issue like this, now i have an issue, and it can't be resolved. Joyous.

SIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHHH...... That's a great way to treat a customer who's been around since the begin of this game I feel the love and support for sure....

How long are you going to complain about the same topic for?

I doubt any game out there will be able to pin point what the issue is 100% of the time. The "copy n paste" response is a result of them getting spammed all the time, mostly about the same topic. Its only smart to do so. You're not forced to play. If your ping is too much for you to handle then just take a break from CF. You're not the only high pinger - if there was a fix they would've shared it by now.

So when did stating facts become complaining? What, it's wrong for me to be unhappy that i now lag in this game that iv'e played for 8 years without lagging, and i am supposed to just be perfectly fine with having a disadvantage now?

And you defending them is kind of sad, it's like defending someone for not doing a good job, because there was more to do. For example, Say you work in a warehouse, annnd you are doing returns. There is 2 days worth of returns that need to get done asap. Imagine the people as companies. Blizzard, Riot, Z8 Games. Blizzard over here has sorted over 100 packages already, Riot has done 90 packages. Z8 games has only done 20 packages, and then had someone fill for them while they are in the bathroom, which happened to be a less productive, non helpful robot which covered the rest of the day for z8 as they sat on their phone in the bathroom to avoid the work they don't want to do.

Same concept buddy, you can't defend people for not doing THEIR JOB just because there is a lot to do. You think Blizzard doesn't get a lot of tickets? Or RIot? Or any other gaming company for that matter? Hell, i got better support for deer hunter on my phone than i get from z8 games! And that is freaking saying something. A little cell phone app gets better support than a massive fps shooter that's been around for 8+ years!. No excuses, if other companies can do it, so can they. I haven't gotten an automated response from Riot, Blizzard, or any other game i had a problem with.

And sigh... i never said i was forced to play the game, and that is such a typical response, "if u don't like it, don't play" Again, you are talking to someone who played this game for 6 years with NO PROBLEM, then the last 2 years iv'e watched the ping slowly rise to what it is now. I still see people with a low ping, so there IS a fix to it. I am not asking them to fix their game, i am asking them to help me figure out a fix for myself, weither it be buying "kill ping" and trying that, or something else! My point is, i would like someone to at least ATTEMPT to help me, not just point me to an article that is useless to my ticket.

You take it as complaining when all i want is a person to help me out, not a robot response that literally didn't help AT ALL. If they would of read the first 3 sentences they would of known that. But they didn't even give it that much effort. 5 Seconds worth of reading. Hang on guys, might freaking sprain my finger scrolling a centimeter down, watch out! 5 seconds is too much? How much is not too much than?

You cant defend them at all yet, for some unknown reason you try too.. Reminds me a lot of the League of Legends community, even though you get NOTHING for defending their wrongs, people still do it like they will get something, even though they can't deny what is wrong. it's like defending a 5 star restaurant that you payed in advance $1000 for reservations for a special night, and then you get served crappy food and got food poisoning because "they have a lot of food to cook". But don't stress it, be okay with it!
