Concerned about a new thing iv'e started seeing

i had to go check my friends list today, and noticed like 10 names that were exactly like this " AAAA_ 1362387 " the numbers are random, but that's what the names were. Iv'e never added these people, i don't add people unless i know they are REAL people lmao xD so i have no clue how they ended up on my friends list. I assume they are old friends who haven't played in so long that their account may not exist anymore? Idk, that's one theory i had till i started seeing this happen in game.

I will see a player under the name of Abc1Heya join the match, and then spam some website to get hacks on or something, idk, half of it is said in weird letters or something, you would know it if you saw it too. But the weird thing is i see this name AAAA_3764375 but i see the spam coming up under the name of Abc1Heya even though this player is NOT in the match.

So i think there is some bot thing going on, i went through my friends list and got rid of 10 of these names,freaking 10 of them. Iv'e never added a single one of them, so that's why i was hoping that they were just old friends who havent logged on in so long that their account no longer exists, but now that i am seeing this weird thing where Abc1Heya has joined the room, but AAAA_34535 is spamming the website then both leave the room at the same time. IDK it's weird and it freaked me out momentarily.

I never add these kind of names, so how did these names end up in my friends list? Are they old friends who havent logged on in so long their account doesnt exist and it defaults to an AAAA_number name? Or is something weird and sinister going on?

Is anyone else seeing this? Iv'e seen it in like 5 matches today, same Abc1Heya guy, and same AAAA_number name, but the numbers are usually different everytime. It's just freaking me out because the whole friends list thing xD.

If someone havent logged on for a long time and another player wants his ign then z8 changes it to aaaa+random number.

AHAHAH if i smoked the good kush i would be too couch potato to even worry about this xD, but thank you for clarifying the aaaa+random number thingy that explains alot, i mean i had the hunch it's just i also see people playing with the whole aaaa names aswell, so with all the server issues lately i was getting paranoid that bots were hacking crossfire or something.

This was due to the IGN Purge that we held earlier this year. If an account had not logged in for a very long time, amongst other requirements, their names were changed to AAAA_#### and they were given a name change item for if they ever come back. This was done to free up older IGN's for people that may have wanted them.

I think they join every single room in every channel and do the same thing (maybe using the quick join feature). They also join 1v1 spectating rooms and type in the freaking chat. Lol. I reported 1 but stopped bothering as it wouldn't be so hard to create another account.

They are probably getting rid of inactive player name so active kids can change their name.
