I got asked to play again. Installed the game, banned instantly. I know i had auto-hotkey enabled, but if that is a bannable program then x-trap is quite worse now! XD

I'm too lazy to submit a ticket, and not losing any sleep over this. But the others that are posting about this are not lying. Go make a sticky thread in general/support that your team is looking into it or something.

I was playing all morning then I go to play at night and have blocked the account within the game.
When I go to the website I do not have any message

Remind me what auto-hotkey does, as I'm not familiar with that particular program. It sounds to me like it is a macro program. Or a scripts program. So you can do things automatically. Which generally isn't allowed.

It's a program that allows you to create scripts and macros.

I'm using it to bind keys to other actions on street fighter v (I'm a keyboard hero). It does scripting as well.

If your banning this, you might as well ban...alot? Plenty of gaming keyboards/mice come with Macro actions/keybinding options.

I'd be a little understanding if X-trap didn't let you launch with it on, but an auto ban is funny.

If X-Trap picks it up as a threat, then it will likely hit you for it. From the sounds of it, it could be picked up if it was running at the same time as X-Trap. Not that I would know why you would need it on at the same time as CF, unless you are playing both at the same time, which would be rather impressive, and something I would pay to watch.

Because every other game doesn't pick up random macro software/keybinding as a cheating device. I play SFV and go straight to CS:GO, I'm quite the lazy one when it comes to shutting down programs.Plus SFV is great while waiting for the long arsed ESEA wait queue's i get sometimes. Play a set, shoot some heads afterwards.

I have the same issue. Moved, got a new pc, after playing csgo. i seem to be banned after coming to cross fire. Sucks cause i've spent a good chunk of change on this site and they do me like this.

Scripts/Macros have been bannable for as long as i can remember. Honestly you shouldn't even be able to play any game using them (my opinion) cause its cheating (my opinion).

Personally, I don't remember it auto banning you for having them on, just not letting you launch. Rather savage approach to preventing a random thing, nor do I remember it ever being a problem in the first place. Hell, are we banning any of the software people use for keyboards too? I can macro just fine from those as well.

Mouse macros implemented into your mouse are not bannable, neither are keyboard ones vice versa.

Yep. I should know, considering I loaded the software that could have allowed this on the very first crossfire lan on the computers i managed and provided

But, common sense is not common.

It is in the ToS. I think that macros for keyboards and mouses should be banned, you should not be able to macro bhop/chinese walk/or the famous vip iron beast no recoil macro.

Downhill? Please don't make me laugh. The Game has been downhill for ages and it wasn't because of Saidin leaving, The new GM's are fixing things and bringing up things we have been asking for since for ever.

If you feel like you have been false banned then go and fill a ticket, its not a waste of time either no matter what forumers say.

Btw the "false bans" everyones talking about are Hardware bans not account bans. I heard that someone is changing their HWID and getting banned on purpose to try and kill CF, far as i can see its working.

Its more of a gray area is what we were told. Anyways most anticheats cannot detect them and macro software are implemented into every gaming mouse. To block implemented mouse software would be a hassle for WiseLogic and cost a lot of money.

Again, my point for banning autohotkey is that..it's literally useless to ban one specific program for that when literally any decent gaming setup does automatic coding. I can macro those commands in bloody windows without using a third party tool in the first place.

The ticket is a waste of my time. I know who's manned them in the past and how many tickets they get and the effort to explain myself isn't worth it. I did leave this game for a reason, but I'm bemused why such a harmless program causes an auto-ban instead of just a kick out of client. X-trap was always a horrible brute force tool that they used. It's "better" then back in the day, but still silly.

You cannot justify to me the reasoning behind a full account ban.

i got 14 day ban for using mouse macro that is included into my mouse driver. (razer mamba 2012)
i used that since years to prevent idling out of games when i need to go to toilet or whatever....

Yes sadly it is MAC ban only, yes its bad cause everyone can change their mac address meaning soon every mac will be banned.

Scripts and Macros have been bannable but the rule has not been enforced ever because 90% of North 7 continue to do it
