New PC Build what should i change?

Hi there. I haven't been in a while on forums. So i have a question for those who actually have experience with PC Builds.
Atm i'm saving some cash for the new PC. I was for a quite a long time AMD user but i'm changing towards the INTEL now.
This is configuration what i'm thinking to purchase in the near future(6-7 months):

Memory: Kingston DDR4 HX Savage, 8GB, 2400MHz
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or Intel Core i5 6600K
MBO: ASRock Z170-EXTREME4, 1151

I don't need new gpu cuz i have an R9 380 4gb g1 gaming and power supply is Cooler Master 730W.

I have few questions for this:
Will this spec actually be better for gaming or is it bad?
If this spec is not that great, what kind of spec should i go with so i would be actually calm for another 5-6 years without purchasing new stuff so i could run upcoming games?
Thank you and have a nice day/night.

  • Specs are fine. Doesnt really matter if you get an i7 or i5 for gaming. Getting the i7 is not worth the extra money if you are comparing the performance gains imo. If you were to upgrade anything it should be the gpu.
But, if you are not aiming 60+ fps on ultra on the upcomming games this gpu is fine.

Yeah, pretty much this, for gaming i5's are fine, i7's will boost you with Video Rendering/HD Photo editing stuff, complex calculations etc, but the majority of users wont see a massive difference (Except how much lighter their wallet is...) I'd also be tempted to increase the ram if it's within your budget, ever 12GB will give a more comfortable buffer, but then I've not used/done any tests with DDR4 yet, so it might be ok :)
  • Like the others said, your good to go for now, assuming you are playing on a 1080p monitor, a good step up on the gpu and you should see not problems playing maxed out on most games
  • that's what i am a little bit worry about about the DDR4 rams. But for rams within my budget it won't be any problems to give some more cash for it. Cuz when i did calculate all these stuff will cost me around 700$. Atm i got saved 50$ (did purchase last month Roccat Kave xtd 5.1 and i am really amazed with these headset what i have) I could save up without any problem up to 130 per month. But sometimes gaming isn't life lol. I mean i have to watch a movie or buy ice cream ^^. But i'll maybe save up 130 next month just to be close towardsto the PC specs. And selling these old specs what i own (fx6100, asrock 990fx extreme 3, 2x 4gb hyperx 1600 mhz) could save up money even more and that will be last resort when i'm close towards the goal. Cuz this old relic of specs are giving me some of the trouble ( PC is keep freezing cuz i bought motherboard 990fx and it has 3 years of warranty (some company sold me an used motherboard but they gaved it under 3 years) and to send them motherboard i have to actually be without PC for a 2-3 weeks). But i'm patient with this "kid" (that's how i call my pc haha) cuz even it freezes it's still the best PC that i had for quite a long time( i mean from start of the playing battlefield 3 xD )
As for the aiming towards the 60+ fps. I don't really care about it. As long i can play a game under medium settings. I'm fine. I could easy sell it for 200$ and wait for the gtx 1070 to be a bit cheaper. But for now i love this GPU and as long i don't need to "upgrade" it. I'll use it till the part that i have to say goodbye or maybe just put it into my dads PC (he owns a r7 240)
