Ping Issue

Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my ping.
Usually It's around 75-90 .. but suddenly it spikes to 500s and 700s without any reason.
My phone is on mobile data and I'm not downloading anything and there isn't anything else but CF is open.

My guess? It's a problem with the Egyptian Government's throttling of their ISPs.

Even tho, my friend who lives next to me, his ping is stable between 85-90 and it rarely spikes.
And when it does, it spikes to 130 or something.
Is there any application or program I can download to solve this issue?

No. The only thing that will improve it is a better internet package, but idk whats available for you from your ISP...

Go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and ping the German server. post results.

Call your ISP and ask for a new IP ? This problem happened a lot in the past so you aren't the only one.

Not sure what this is going to do, but regarding the op's problem best you could do is talk to your isp and figure out what's going on.

because that will give a good idea of the ping he gets to the general location of the server?

And Egyptian ISP's are notoriously bad, and throttle speeds at will, as they do not have the same safeguards/regulations as ones in the UK etc do...so talking to them will do little if anything.

The Egyptian government would be a good place to start...rather than an online gamer forum.

How is a new IP going to make his internet faster? Also his ping issue doesn't deal with his internet speed.

:') Oh yeah, silly me ahahahahaha - it gets rid of the lemmings off the lines too right? that speeds it up as the wires are lighter!
