Game shuts down without warning

I decided to install win10 today. Was able to play a few games but now the game just closes without warning.
I can start up, log in and select a server and then CF just closes, I dont get any errors or anything. Its just gone suddenly. Restarted my pc a few times already and im downloading the game again for a fresh install right now.
But are there any known fixes for this problem? Im sure im not the first one experiencing problems running CF on windows10 so thats why im asking.

Edit: Reinstalled but its still crashing. If anyone would have any idea on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
Edit 2: I thought it fixed itself cause I managed to get into a room but it still crashed while ingame. Its strange, doesnt give any kind of error or freeze. Just disapears.

  • Wow you gotta be kidding me. I installed a completely fresh win10 yesterday, was able to play fine.
I tried to play forza 6 apex today and it said I needed a new driver, well thats to be expected for a new game so I downloaded the latest driver. Aaaaand Now my cf is just crashing again. So I suspect cf is behind again with getting their game compatible. Just like when windows 10 was just released.
I wil try to rollback some drivers to confirm if its actually the driver causing trouble with cf.

Edit: Uninstalled a few drivers. Forza Is giving me an error again that I need to get the latest drivers so I guess I uninstalled correctly. But crossfire is still crashing. Tried playing with differend compatibility modes but still nothing.
How can a game not run correctly on a completely FRESH install of win10?? I dont get it. Only crossfire manages to be this unstable. Never had this much trouble with any other game. Get your #&! together z8.
  • win 10 game crash after about minute or so

I have nvidia gts 450 and went to nvidia site then downloaded latest certified driver from site (original location). Do that before everything you will do !

Look at system events -> application event and look at crossfire. maybe you will see that autio file make problem (windows media player file). I did following:

    1. win + R then type : optionalfeatures.exe and find media then disable media player. Wait for system to uninstall component.

    2. Deinstall all players you might have.

    3. Reboot

    4. repeat step one but this time enable windows media player. Wait for system to install it.

5.pick one mp3 file then choose open with program option then select choose another program. In newly showed screen pick windows media player and click to choose option "always select this to open blah blah "

    6. that should fix problem. It worked for me on upgraded to win 10 from win 7 system and amd x4 965 cpu.
