Useful tutorials for ISSUES about PING, INTERNET CONNECTION, ETC,
1ST -> Unlock full bandwidth!!!
This feature are only avaiable for "WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL", "WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE" and "WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE" users.
1. On your descktop press this buttons "START + R".
2. At the new box type this "gpedit.msc" and press "enter".
3. Press on computer management.
4. Than press administration templates.
5. Press lan button.
6. Now click at QoS packages.
7. Now click at limit the bandwidth reserved. Once there click at "ENABLE" and on the box change "20" to "0".
8. Click at "APPLY" and it's done.
2ND -> How to solve PING ISSUES!!!
This only works with "WINDOWS 7".
1. Run your CrossFire game in window mode.
2. Once on lobby press this key: CTRL+ALT+DEL
3. Select Windows Tasks Manager
4. In Processes separator click with your right mouse button on crossfire.exe and SET "LOW" PRIORITY .
5. You will see that your ingame ping will low and it will be almost static.
3RD -> Another step that may resolve your problem with the ping!!! (THIS IS FOR ALL WINDOWS OS).
Sometimes we all started the game without knowing how many active connections on the Internet we have. So sometimes some active connections can increase our ping in game.
So before you start the game do this:
1. Open your Command Prompt.
2. Type netstat
This will show you how many active connections you have:
If nothing shows up start the game. (like the image above)
If you have an result like this below do not start the game until you close them all:
Like i said some connections can raise your ping and that is bad right.
You can see on the RED box that is one of the connections that can raise your ping "in this case Windows Messenger".
To start the game with no active connections i recomend you to logoff your windows user and login again, do not open any program, close always your messenger, download programs, or any program that use internet, and then start the game.
4TH -> How to enable the REAL ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT!!!
This feature are only avaiable for "WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL", "WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE" and "WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE" users.
1. Open your Control Panel.
2. Click on System and Security.
3. Than click on Administrative Tools.
4. Now click on Computer Management.
5. On your left side open Users and Groups and than choose USERS.
6. You will see on your right side that you have an account called ADMINISTRATOR. So click on Administrator with your right mouse button than Properties. Than you will see this:
7. All you need to do is ENABLE that account and SET A PASSWORD. With this way you can avoid those messages that ask you if you have sure to open this or that, bla bla bla, and you don't need to run programs as ADMINISTRATOR cause you already enabled that account
You need to log always with that new account.
