To any GM it may concern

I would like to consult on your new plans for the crossfire esports scene, if you want someone with the experience running and playing high level competitive crossfire, shoot me a PM.
Lets make sure this is done right, shall we?

  • Send a PM, which has a higher chance of them seeing your message rather than a thread. I'm not saying it won't, just saying sending a PM would be better in this case.

Maybe a support ticket would help they reply fast to support tickets.
  • +1 it's good to have someone that's had experience with competitive gaming as a player.
  • +1

Erick has good experience in competitive.
  • +1 Erick is fair and I trust he will make good decision and he is capable of running the New Esports Scene for CF.

BTW Erick, if are serious about getting this job make sure you have time to invest. I say that because it sucks having to deal with Event organizers who barely have time, they post things late, they don't have time to answer questions, they aren't available throughout an event... etc. It just sucks, good luck man.

How do you think these forums mods get 'hired'?

"Hey smilegate, i have a considerable amount of free time on my hands and would love to moderate your forums free of charge"

These mods were chosen by the GMs nice creativity you have going though.

if im correct they will have select mods helping the competitive scene

Oh god no. zzxq, iceman and polleus are capable. However, Erick should run this event. They should even pay him to do it, he can bring CF back to the competitive game it once was.
  • I've brought the competitive scene back to life once, don't see why I couldn't do it again. Thanks for the support boys, i'm currently in contact with one of the GMs
  • +Juan for Erick

    Juan and Gecks for casters?

Not sure what this has to do with anything, and not to be rude but besides from Polleus, Iceman and ZZxq i don't think any other the other mods have close to the experience I have playing or running events
  • +1 for erick but if they choose to leave it to mods i think they should choose the mods that have experiance playing in or running comps

but if ur incontact with a GM about it i wouldnt doubt u could help

im going to start a new league soon
    still planning things out
  • I think Erick and I plus a few others could run everything at an incredible level, if given access to the right resources, and since Ice and Polleus are busy with day jobs they could be around to help here and there as league consultants. Personally I think this needs to be executed on a more organized level than events hosted via SG in the past, by people who have the most experience running them (Myself, Ice, Erick, Polleus) and maybe a few others we could bring under our wing and teach how to run events the right way. My main concern is another league that comes out with high expectations, but doesn't deliver what the community needs; a sustainable quality league where the staff are working for what the community wants and needs. Especially now with Odeeb and Saidin (The two staff GMs most involved in Esports for CF) out of the community, we really need now more than ever quality hosts to step up and do what has yet to be done. We need to develop an in house structure that not only provides quality events, but also emphasizes the elevation and expansion of CFNA as an esport, along with acquiring resources to provide the best hacking prevention for the game we can. I can't in my right mind run another league where the anti-cheat is flat out garbage. We need to hold players accountable, and provide a league that can truly yield professionals in this game, otherwise the NA version of CF will fade into the abyss in the shadow of more appealing esports titles. I am more than willing to put in the time to help and can find individuals to join staff such as Erick who truly care about developing the best league out there for CF, but it has to start with those above even myself putting forth the resources for that to be possible.

Sorry to rant, but a quality league has been 7 years late, and its frustrating to see over and over again the same problems occur. With Esports taking off to new levels in 2016, now more than ever is the time to revamp a community on the verge of complete death. Hopefully, this league can be the start to some real change for the better the community of NACF has long needed.

This summarizes exactly what us players want. I hope the GMs listen to this and if done I know tons of people that are willing to comeback.

This will benefit the public scene as the players will also participate in clanwars not just competitive. It will also help promote the game it's beneficial to Crossfire North America as a whole.
  • I'm always around to lend a hand. I'm not around enough to run events, but I am certainly willing to help in any way I can otherwise. There are other people better suited to run these events anyways and I can always offer up suggestions to management if they want to be helped.
