MFC Client has STOPPED WORKING

Hey guys, I really need help as whenever I play on the Black-Market, I always get this error which freezes the game completely and then I have to force myself to quit it as shown on the screen-shot below. Other than that the CF game is working fine for me. I heard many other friends get this too, maybe the game is really bugged on the BM and it's not from our side?

I have my HP computer, Windows 7, and AVG Internet Security up-to date. I run CF on Admin and I also don't run other programs other than my Anti-Virus. What gives/any quick solutions, other than un-installing and re-installing CF?

Thanks in-advance!

  • Idk any ways you could fix without re-installing but report it to support and maybe next maintenance it will be fixed.

Thanks bro, I will do that, but I wish we had a 'Quick Fix RN' just in-case they take too long to actually fix it. I'm too scared to open crates (I will post pone them), I heard that if things like this happen and freezes ones spins, the 'winning items' won't register on that account, LOL!
  • Have you added your entire Crossfire folder as an exception on your antivirus? Not sure this would cause anything, but you never quite know with these types of deals.
  • Hey [GM]Kanadian, CF was already allowed to communicate through my Windows Firewall and AVG, but now it's part of the AVG 'Exceptions' as well (as shown below), hope it makes a difference.

I will update back here if the problem still persists.

  • Try to disable both your firewall and antivirus and tell me if it works.

  • Today is a bad day for me.. I haven't done any changes today on my computer, neither have I done any changes to my in-game options, but I keep getting these annoying MFC client error that causes the game to not work (freeze) as shown below.

I was getting them since a few days ago whenever i'd spin on BM but now I get them right after the ending of a game. My computer is pretty up-to date with Drivers and Windows 7 overall, and CF is allowed through both my Firewall and AVG.. What gives?! >.<'

    Try doing a simple restart.
  • I had this problem too.

Turn off your windows defender. Start your computer in safe modus. Turn off administrator rights of crossfire. Turn off windows firewall. Restart computer in normal mode. Turn all back on and run cf as administrator.

Had the same issue. This worked for me.
  • I have his problem to. In lobby and InGame. i get it every 5-60 min. am currently really desperate. I have tried everything but no possibility found to eliminate it. the computer can not be. have 2x Gtx770 8core 4,4mhz. drivers are all aktuel. and the fault dip only are short on though there was no change in the software or hardware. even the format of Windows has not helped. there must be an error when patch where else have I can imagine it really no longer fault. Should you find a solution, so I want to ask you to tell me.
  • I think I have a working solution for you guys. Go to your CF directory (in program files>Z8Games) and right click on version.ini and click properties then check read-only.

    Tell me if it works!!
  • I have found the error and corrected. MFC is a programming language C ++. I simply deleted all C ++ programs. Now run the game wonderfully without any errors which.

I had turned off & back on, my Defender/Firewall, AVG and Admin Rights at the time, when I had these errors but all to avail.

I will keep this in mind, as for now I have not got my MFC error in a while (during game, since last patch/update).

I wish you could give me the full detailed instructions, so I can do the same (when MFC error returns). Let me know ASAP, thanks.
