Something happened to my old CF accounts, one I managed to retrieve again and it was renamed to AAAA_(4 digit number). I'm gonna assume same thing probably happened to the rest. Now it took me bit of time to recover just that one account. I tried to log in by typing the username and password but Z8 changed it? I had to recover the account through e-mail reset. After that happened, the account was renamed to AAAA_(and some random digit numbers). Can someone explain to me what happened? Is it something I had missed? Because I'm back at CF after a long break. I am now trying to recover a Staff Sargeant account (IGN: Alanah*) that is actually in good standing (2.0 KDR) and played 2 months ago. But whenever I would log in using the usual credentials, the password would not work for some reason? What happened here Z8? Submitting a ticket would be hard to work out since I could not recall some of the detailed information about the account.

The IGN Purge if you were inactive for more then 90 days during it your IGN would automatically become AAAA_ It was to free up IGNs for those of us who wanted an IGN that was taken instead of having to send support tickets.

So they were only supposed to rename the IGNs but when they stated "You will not lose your account or items; only your IGN." that does not seem to be true? All of my logins does not seem to be working anymore?

You most likely got the accounts stolen from you or original owners recovered.

The original owner was me and the accounts remained inactive and safe for a while

was way longer than that - http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?309921-IGN-Purge-December-9th-2015 it was if you had not logged in for 3 years...

But to OP - They didn't change login names or passwords, just display names...but if you don't have access to the email that its signed up to then unfortunately you're out of luck...if you can't remember enough info for a support ticket then there's nothing else to do/say.

Just realized i was thinking of how long it is till an IGN becomes available to everyone else after it was used.
