ZP Storm - April 5 → April 7
Attention Mercenaries,
You've heard the saying 'saving for a rainy day', haven't you? Well it doesn't get much more rainy than it does in April!
We've got the perfect way for you to chase away those stormy feelings, though, with a storm of our own!
On every ZP purchase from April 5 → April 7 you will receive:
- 20% Bonus ZP
- One ZP Purchase Ticket
- One ZP Purchase Ticket
At the end of the event, when the storm finally clears, the player with the most ZP Recharge Tickets will win one permanent weapon of their choice!
So break open that piggy bank and check for loose change in the couch, because this is the moment you've been saving for!
Update:
And the winner for the most purchased ZP ticket is IGN: Mr-Funky
And his weapon of choice was: M240B-TESLA

Wait isn't there a limit to how many times a day that you can purchase ZP? If so there's going to be a ton of people maxing out and tying. Even if there isn't there probably still won't be a clear winner as tons of people waste disgusting amounts of money on this game. -

Do you honestly think they would cap any source of income for the game? -

Idk man I haven't tried to buy that much ZP in a long time (years), but it used to be a thing. At one point you could only purchase ZP once per day regardless of the amount. -

See this would actually be a good idea. It's high enough of a buy in that Z8 would still make tons of money, but low enough that it could be realistic for the average ZP buyer.ripppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

There should be a tracker on how much people spended already for this event because i can be spending hundreds and someone might be spending millions but i wouldn't know that, i'll be thinking "i bought the most zp" while someone out there spending millions....

They wouldn't ever do that because then you'd see that other person and stop spending ZP. -
Way to confirm all you guys care about is money...
Not like we didn't know that anyways but still
I sure don't know their intentions so I'm not defending anyone but I can't let this one go; so if there wasn't a prize for the person spending the most, the whole focus wouldn't have been money?
Lol, Isn't that the point of any business to start with?Do you honestly think they would cap any source of income for the game?
There used to be a cc cap to prevent scams, charge backs, holds, or someone stealing a card and spending all the money it has. -
Lets do some math. The limit for 1 day zp purchases (paypal) is 200,000.
Limit = 3 x 200,000 = 600,000. Each purchase will generate 1 ticket so we will use the smallest package (10,000).
The number of purchases = 60, where each cost $8.99.
Total spent = 8.99 x 60 = $ 539.4
So you need to spend at least $ 540 on paypal (plus game card) to win! You deserved that $540 gun. LOL!!! -

Not even. Some companies (those that aren't foreign) actually take the time to listen to the community. The point to a business is to make the most while spending the least, which i'll admit they got it halfway down. The easiest concept to understand, Give the people what they want and they will always come back for more. If you feed a stray does it not come back or even never leave? Not saying you give everything away but smilegate has this agenda about releasing content following specific versions of cf. One famous line from the golden era of CFNA was not every version is the same. But smilegate wants money, therefore then implemented this system that doesn't actually target this specific versions needs. That's why every patch its 50% "oh yea!" and 50% "why?". The GMs are interactive which is a start but you can tell there's no real strings they control. -

Frankly, i'd have to agree with Moe. Lets face it, any of these 'bonus zp' or 'spend zp to get X' or 'buy zp to get X' events are basically just cash grab opportunities.
Now i'm not exactly sure what point you're making, so please enlighten me if you have the time. I do want to say that the administrators at Z8Games basically decides how to handle the money making process for the most part. Sure, Smilegate basically has full control and say of what content makes it here and when, but the business side of it primarily comes here. If you saw RsaOfAnt's post on a recent thread, you'll know that VTC (the publisher of CFVN) has deals for spending/buying zp that we can only dream of. They get a weapon of their choice for just spending ~100 USD. Here, we gave a glimpse of this type of marketing and it's employed badly. It's a virtual item for god sakes.
Anyway, to any administrators that may see this post, I have to say a few things. This 'event' is basically asking people to fight one another to see who can spend the most money over a three day period and that you're giving the person who spends the most something that they choose. It's just a terribly designed promotion. It would be more understandable to have the top 50 or 100. Some people have some absurd spending power and we all know someone like that will exist. This leaves no chance for an average person to win. A raffle would've been better. Even more understandable would be to have a benchmark of say, a total of 200k zp purchased. I would totally be happy to spend for something like the latter. I'm sure plenty of others would too, but unfortunately, this is not.
TLDR: Poorly planned event that endorses people to fight to see who can spend the most.
