weird laggs

Hi guys.
Didnt play for a while. Shortly I had to build in a new Gpu and a new disk.
I installed all the drivers of course. All other games (csgo highest setting as an example) run without any problems but of course crossfire wouldnt be crossfire without something weird in it.
I always get a lagg, where my screen is freezing for a second and its frustrating because I cant play like this. Instead of quitting again, I would like to get this fixed. Anybody having an idea?
Specs:
i5 3570k
gpu: msi gtx 750ti

What storage are you using? What RAM do you have..?

I presume you mean FPS lag and not Ping lag..?

My fps are always above 200 but the screen just freezes.
My ping on UK servers is 12-15 so it cant be caused by ping.
I got 8GB ram made by Corsair
and what do you mean by storage?

    harddrive is storage...

What temps is your system running at?

    temps are perfectly fine

Well what harddrive are you using then? There's a problem with hardware somewhere...and what do you define as "perfectly fine"?

CPU-Z ( http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html ) is the one I use, will show you current, max, min on all cores/cards etc...

And what HDD do you use??
  • ok i already got cpu-z tell me what you want to know
and HDD sorry for the delay. Had to find out what you mean lol
This is it: Western Digital WD5000AZRX Green 500GB
    Nothing special there
  • maybe the canadian gm guy can help me out with this? Youve been already trying your best to help me with my mouse some months ago. Hope you can look into this

Green WD's are slow speed, sounds like that could be the issue - the speed of the HDD is 5400rpm - this means it has a slower IOPS than most standard desktop drives, if it is a big map and you have high settings my guess is it is this that is causing the bottleneck.

Western Digital Green Hdd's are designed to spin slower and to spin down when not in use I would recommend getting a SSD just for your gaming and running 2 hard drives but you could get by just by putting in a WD black
  • another thought, I run a WD green in my desktop and when I snipe the scope lags so I can't quickscope prehaps the hard drive is the issue

5400rpm is a really slow speed, if you're planning on getting another HDD 7200rpm would be fine.

yeah, WD Blue are 7200, and they'd be sufficient IMO, Black/Raptors at 10200+ RPM's are faster, but more expensive, and CAN wear out sooner, due to the higher speeds...

There are 120GB SSD's on the market now for about £40 though - that'd be your best bet - load the OS and some games onto that, never have an issue with speeds again!

Hey, weird enough I have the same problem has this guy, but I use to play on my old pc ( which I upgraded 2 days ago) and I had 1GB memory card, 6 GB ram and 1TB HDD and a i5 processor, and I didn't get this freezes/lags.

But now that I have 16 GB RAM , i7 6700k 4.0 GHz, a great asus motherboard, a MSI GTX 970 , a SSD (which I only have the windows on it) and I kept the 1TB HDD(where I keep all the games) and now the game freezes, what could be it, since all other games work perfectly, even games that require alot of my CPU and other stuff, because this lags make the game unplayable and I don't really want to stop playing because of this :/

    Thank you :)

If you've updated to win10 recently (or not), you might need to update your graphics card (and audio for that matter) to win10 compatible versions. Recently I did it with my audio and it's worked wonders and I didn't even think there was a problem with my audio in the first place xD
