^ Download the a fresh copy that }dreamyyy has provided. If it still does not work for you. I suggest you re-install your CrossFire.
Follow the following steps:- - Control Panel -> Z8Games -> CrossFire -> Uninstall CrossFire
- - Open Up My Computer
- - Delete the CF directory (Program Files/Z8Games/CrossFire/)
- - Disable your anti virus
- - Download the newest client from our downloads site
- - Install the game from the new download
- - Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- - Re-enable realtime protection
- - Start CrossFire again!

Have you made sure that your firewall or anti-virus isn't blocking the connection? Have you tried disabling them before trying to start CrossFire? Have you run CrossFire as Admin?

Okay then. First delete your current version.dat file. Then download the below link and place it in your CrossFire.
Link: http://www.filedropper.com/version
I hope that helps! -
I havent played this game for 2 years simply because the xtrap had an issue with my AV and I didnt bothered to change my AV just for 1 game..
But then I had enough and installed a 2nd fresh windows with a different AV and Crossfire on it and that was all.Worked like a charm.
