Search function?

Has the old search function been obliterated with the new forum layout? We can no longer search all post history but only what was recently posted. If it has been changed, allow a choice between the two instead of restricting it to one method? :P

Most of the old posts were archived to improve the speeds of the forums...so a lot of old threads aren't able to be accessed unless you have a perm link already...it's a tad annoying for us too, as we can't do old checks on people...but I doubt it'll change, as it'd kill the speeds
