Muffled sound

So when I go in-game, after a while, my sound gets muffled. My footstep, shooting and clicking and all that are muffled but other people's shooting, radio, footsteps are the same...when i reboot CF sometimes it goes back to normal but then it goes back to the muffled sound...
This hasn't happened before....
How do I fix this...

Try changing your desktop's/laptop's sound settings by right clicking on your main screen, going to properties ( personalize if your running vista ) and sound settings. and change the sound setting for the speakers. i had the same problem not so long ago and all i did was mess with my laptop's sound settings.... hope it helps
