One second freezes

Hello,
I had already made a thread about this problem couple months ago, but I can't find it anywhere around, so here is a new one.

PC SPECS:
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor @3.5 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380 Series
HDD: WDC WD10 EZEX-75M2NA0 SATA Disk Device (1 TB)
SSD: KINGSTON SHFS37A120G SATA Disk Device (120 GB)
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX Fury 4 GB @1866MHz
OS: Win 7 Pro 64-bit

PROBLEM:
While I'm playing crossfire or some other games, every ~10 seconds my FPS drops from 200ish to 5ish for a second or so. That means I can't move my character, shoot, do anything.
It's not a huge problem if it happens while I'm still in the base, but I hate it when it freezes when I have to make a crucial kill.
It doesn't happen so often in other games, except for crossfire.

STATUS:
I tried launching crossfire from my SSD and I had no FPS problems at all, so I'm pretty sure my HDD is causing the problem.
I still have the warranty on my HDD, but I have to make sure it's not working properly before getting a new one.
I tried scaning it with HardDiskTune, but it shows HDD is working perfectly. :D

So I wonder, what should I do?

So you know where the issue lies yet you're asking for help? I'm confused...

If you've tried it on your SSD and it works, like you say, the issue must be with your HDD...what speed is your HDD? and what is the size of your paging file? I suspect it's to do with one of those, but can't confirm without seeing the PC tbh...
  • Yup! Sorry for the confusion, but I'm trying to find out why is HDD causing these FPS drops, as it's rather new. Perhaps there is a way to fix it.

Hope this is what you're looking for:

its 7200 so shouldn't be dropping, it sounds like a bad sector on the harddrive, try: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors and see if it brings any errors up, make sure to tick the "fix errors" thing too...depending if its hw or sw it may/may not be able to fix, but its worth a check...
