The Competitive Scene Weekly Analysis (Week 2)

Hello all, I am Spidamao from Original V. and I will give weekly review's on how well the set CF teams are doing and a watch on the new up-coming teams:

The criteria I am basing my ranking is on their reputation, high performance, and their consistancy. Keep in mind that in the future I will get up to speed with the UK teams since I am currently familiar with the NA scene.

Besides the "Big Four" teams of Carbon, now defunct teamw0w, Alphav, and Warmachine, it will be interesting to see what new team decides to step up.

1. Carbon - not much to say that everyone doesn’t already know. They are CF NA's most well known and highest performing team as they represented the U.S. in the CFS competition, reaching 2nd place.

2. Alphav - this team recently won the WCA competition and has battled during the weekly and monthly ESL competitions and have handfuls of victories. They won the most recent ESL November Monthly event.

3. Warmachine/PR1METIME - like Alphav, this team has plenty of experience and has their share of ESL victories as well.

4. Droids/teamw0w - Cl0udy - Wizardlord. - Micheal - fREAKAZOID* - bigcoda (7 EGL Wins , many ESL Weekly and Monthlies, currently 1st in Presidential League)

This team successfully 2-0’d both BurnOut and TriX last week in the Presidential League tournament and face Intrusive tomorrow at 7 est for the spot in the finals. The loser of this match will face EscapeArtist (the winner of the losers bracket) in the chance for the slot in the finals.

5. Intrusive - Drew - oHwERd - Peek - Teemo - Shehzad*.* (5 EGL Wins, an ESL Weekly win and a recent monthly 2nd place, currently 2nd in Presidential League)

After successfully beating EscapeArtist last weekend, Intrusive hopes they have the same fate as they face Droids/teamw0w in the semifinals of the Presidential League tournament in a best of 5 series. The loser of this match will have to face EscapeArtist (the winner of the losers bracket) in a chance for the slot in the finals.

6. EscapeArtist - Jewpappasd- -ilverSt. - EA]lsodrac13 - Daniel - bobbybanks
A very unexpected shocker in the competitive scene this passing week as EscapeArtist mowed down their opponents. After being knocked down by Intrusive last week, they not only beat Trix, but also wrG in the losers bracket, making them the winners of the entire losers bracket. They play the losing team between Droids and Intrusive who play tomorrow at 7 est.

7. Envy - Daniel - Raw - Iphone - ? - ? (last week ranking 8th)
A good week for Envy as they were the NA team that reached the highest point this week in EGl, making it to the semi finals against FlipSide who won the entire thing. This is a big step up from their last week performance and hope they can successfully win EGL the up-coming week. Daniel also aided in EscapeArtist’s very successful week as well as he played on their team in Presidential League.

8. Burnout - samz - Emm. - LEEECK - .ALIFE - jordingot (2nd place in an ESL Weekly)
A very rough week for Burnout. They were not successful in defeating the Droids/teamw0w combination team in Presidential League, they also were eliminated from the whole tournament as they lost to wrG in the losers bracket. They looked forward to brush off those losses in EGL, where they lost to HighOnFire. Hopefully next week they will get redemption.

9. Buffs - Sad - Rex? - Blackcat - Jkeith2k - Trig.
This team continues to grind it out on the competitive channel , getting their shots and team chemistry. While they were unable to aid wrG their win in Presidential League, they look to be very successful in the coming tournaments.

10. Trix - TT - 54 - MineFtDrake - [mama-bear] - HHplumpwomen
TriX’s absence this week was very noticeable as they were defeated as a result by EscapeArtist. Hopefully this is a temporary leave and we see them participating in future events.

PCFIslanders - this team got to the semi finals of EGL this past week
Synergy

Like I said the previous week , please give me your honest criticism so I may improve future analysis'.

If someone could do the same for the UK scene, that would be greatly appreciated. They deserve more recognition as they are consistently winning EGL (a tournament that started off as an NA exclusive) and BGL.

Teams like FPAS, Team5Legends, Dot1Q, and Flipside (this weeks EGL winners) deserve more recognition, but I believe someone from the UK scene should be presenting them to show their support of their competitive scene.

And Fizzeq, if you would allow me to, I would like to do the same thing for the next competitive event like you did with Presidential League so we can see them progress if thats alright with you.
