    time to retire famous?

nt mykl, better luck next year.
  • Carbon played a lot better on Day 1 than Day 2. It just looks like they gave up in Day 2. The way they played, they made a lot more mistakes in day 2.

not really, day 1 they beat an awful Indonesian team and blew a 6-0 lead against a team who lost to intz. Day 2 they beat the team that is in the finals now and lost to one that lost 10-8 to the other finalist. They clearly shouldn't have played sub base. They all played good, famous just looked out of it vs pacific.
  • can someone explain to me how this wildcard system work? Why did penta sport get out of groups after losing to carbon in the losers bracket? The playoffs should've only consisted of 1st and 2nd team out of each group. I feel like the tournament is rigged to favor the Chinese somehow lol. I am super confused someone enlighten me.

The 12 teams will be placed into 3 groups (A, B, and C) through a Tournament Draw prior to the GF.
All matches in the Group Stage are a single set match and follow a Double Elimination bracket where each team will play at least 2 matches. The 1st and 2nd places in each group (6 teams) will advance to the Quarter Finals of the Tournament Stage.

The remaining 2 slots in the Quarter Finals bracket will be filled by 3rd place teams. However, since there are 3 teams but only 2 slots, the Group Stage results of the 3rd place teams in each group will be compared and 2 teams will be given a “Wild Card” accordingly.

The following criteria will be compared, in order, to grant the “Wild Card”:
    1. The total number of win rounds in the Group Stage.
    2. If the total number of win rounds is a tie, the team’s Attack Points (Kills + Headshots - Deaths) will be compared.
    3. If Attack Points are a tie (highly improbable), the 2 Wild Card teams will be selected through a tournament draw.

Btw Penta Sports is not a Chinese team.

Hey man, thx for the explanation. I know penta sports is not a Chinese team. I guess it's out of context in my post. :p
