Client Error, HELP!

I just got an error, please help.

"Crossfire Patch v10: Your client is invalid version. Re-install the latest version game client."

Did it twice already. Both times worked for 1 day. Once I restarted the computer, the same error message pops up.

After searching for this issue on YT and bing,i came to conclusion that i need to change the two 'version' files located inside the CrossFire folder.
Someone please upload these two files which are of 2 kb in size or otherwise i will have to download 2 gb's of CF again.

and i just replaced the two files and CF is working fine.

you can ask your friend for the two files,if you don't want to waste you bandwidth and time,downloading CF or you can simply reinstall CF(Recommended method by z8)

This is not recommended by any of the GM's/MODs - modified files can easily be transferred, leading to a ban.

Well that's not very helpful! Why can't you guys post the files then? Seems odd that people (including me now) suddenly get this error when all was working ok! So I've now got to download a massive file and reinstall everything?

Do you lot not think you should have sorted this by now??????? Paying customers can't play the game (plenty of cheats can though)! It should be a customer service priority ffs! You haven't a clue! There are no announcements, just a couple of disjointed posts, try this try that and if that doesn't work.....er well...nothing really. Sort yourselves out for goodness sake and fix the game.
