Bluescreen on Windows 10 1511

Hello,

crossfire worked fine up until yeserdays Windows November (1511) Update. Now I get a bluescreen, when I try to start the game.

Now I am trying to reinstall the game. Do you know something about this?

  • **********UPDATE************

I reinstalled the game (1 bluescreen during that as well) and the same issue, after xTrap loading, when the game tries to start, bluescreen appears with following error message: SERVICE_EXCEPTION_X6va060

    Help!
  • I am having the exact same issue that just occurred yesterday, i even reset my pc and reinstalled crossfire, still getting the same blue screen and error message SERVICE_EXCEPTION_X6va060

Im running Windows 10 64bit OS

    Please help!!
  • I am so glad that I didn't installed that update yet.... :o

    Good luck to everyone
  • I have the same problem as the rest a blue screen.
  • Windows 10 64bit OS error X6va060 plz help.... :(
  • Puzzling, I have the latest update (only just upgraded to 10 - I was waiting for the November update) and haven't had any problems so far :/

What is the Bug Check Code on the blue screen?
  • SERVICE_EXCEPTION_X6va060

Can a GM please at least give any comment??
I am not the only one having this issue....

  • It's a public issue, I think that the problem is from Xtrap.
I don't think microsoft will update it's driver for crossfire as all other games work normally

  • Nope that is not a Windows issue. The problem is with the xTrap driver that it was installed into the system and tried to load into the new kernel version. Since xTrap and Z8 did not participate to test out the new build of Windows, even though it has been available for more than few weeks, they could not update it in time when Windows has been updated. Same thing like before with the initial release of W10, but this is worst than that. And from other thread, you said that you have the newest version of Windows and ran fine, but I called that was not even true at all. Many people had this problem even before this new update was released and now I'm sitting at my computer just waiting for new patch from xTrap. I am very patient with this problem, but you guys should try to get more information and get it resolved quickly, so other people can continue to play the game. One more suggesstion, if it is possible, change it to something else besides xTrap. xTrap is crap in my definition. Sometime it loaded fine, but sometime it detected wrong programs, which they are just normal developer tools for a developer like myself. And it does not decrease the hacking at all. At most, people only got kicked out, but they can still use some methods to get around that. Just something that you guys need to think about it.
  • i have the same problem, and happen only why CrossFire (i play Forsaken World, Blacklight and other games and no problem) and is ever the same, wen xtrap load, OS crash and BSOD happen.

It's been reported on the microsoft forums as a problem for other people in other games...If it was an XTrap issue, mine wouldnt work. nor would ANYONE with windows 10...yes, it does affect some, but not all...so therefore it isn't a straight yes/no answer...CrossFire doesnt have a driver...it uses the video card drivers to run...

See above. Also, if you follow what they are asking for you might help them find a fix for your particular issue quicker.

And I play lots of games including crossfire, as do many others, and mine works fine and doesn't crash...therefore it is not a straight conflict with CrossFire and Windows 10.
  • what edition are you running [Mod}NattNatt? Is it home or professional??

X6va060 that appears in the error message is a driver, the problem comes from there.
All of these users have the same issue and the problem isn't from crossfire?
That doesn't make sense for me
  • After the maintenance yesterday, now Crossfire is playable again as xTrap has been updated. Anyway, appreciate the fast repsonse but I would suggest next time you guys should anticipate those kinds of problem by testing and verifying the game on new version of Windows to make sure it would work correctly.

Are there any confirmations from other players that run CF usin Win10? I don't install that update until Im sure that CF is working after it.....
But well, XCrap is the worst crap. It doesn't keep hakers out of the game, it just does bring legitimate users in rage
  • i have that problem too,sometimes is:
    system service exception X6va060
    and sometimes is:
    system service exception x6va034
    can't start game!
i also use Crossfire Europe, and same thing, when xtrap start, and then BSOD shows with that messages...
    heeelp
    i use win 10pro 64bit

Don't know if this is a troll...Cause tested it out again and still BSOD...Game still not working. I would like to see the Moderators spend some effort instead of telling us that its not their business....

How do we further handle this issue? Many Win 10 users are waiting for a solution...

You should see it from this perspective: unsatisfied users or users who cant play the game are unlikely to spend money for it....

    Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

Yes, because not everyone using Windows 10 has the issue, all the GM's that use it are fine, the Mods are fine, the majority of users are fine and not having an issue.

The issue has been reported on windows forums relating to OTHER GAMES...therefore, NOT exclusively an issue with CrossFire.

    Make more sense yet?

Everything is tested on a variety of platforms, running different versions of each OS. Issues are sorted before it is released. This issue was not found on any of the test machines. It is still not being found on the test machines.

Follow the link and submit the dmp files to windows so they can find a fix for the issue, as reported in the thread.

We appreciate that, however, no GM/Mod is having the issue. A lot of people I know use windows 10 without this issue. It is unfortunate that you are all having this issue, and we will try to do what we can, but at this current moment it is out of our hands.
  • If you are having this issue, and you have sent a ticket, then chances are that we've asked you for more information. Please send us what you can, as this will help us try to solve the problem. Like Nattnatt said, none of our test PCs encountered that problem. I'm using a Windows 10 machine as I type this, and I just played CrossFire.

    Thank you.
  • The problem happens with all xtrap games and one time you guys tell us in the livestream that you
are responsible for the crossfire xtrap updates.

I am not sure if you guys really update to the new version of Windows 10 or if gms just have
something like a bypass to xtrap.

Two other Crossfire versions (I think I am not allowed to call the name -.-) already confirmed that problem and said Windows 10 update 1511 is not compatible with the current xtrap version.

    And NattNatt are you serious?
It seems like the only input u gave us is: “On our system everything runs fine, you are the mistake”

It´s like a game dev with 4x nvidia titanX say: on our system we have 60 fps, I don’t think we need to
optimize the game, because some others have 4x titanX, too.
Like … let’s ignore the customers, our systems runs fine. (Okay that is what z8games do since 2009…)

ok , Do you test windows 10 pro x64 bit Version 1511 build 10586 last windows update with crossfire ?
My pc restart immediately after X-Trap finished loaded and no blue screen for me I will see if there dmp files to send to you
Now I got Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3118754). for Winodows 10 now I will update my windows and try again , maybe microsft give us a fix for this issues .

At no point did I say "you are the mistake" - I simply pointed out to everyone saying "CrossFire Doesnt work on windows 10" that that assumption wasn't correct as a lot of people running Windows 10 are not having issues. Please do not accuse me of saying things that I did not.

Trust me, my rig is FAR from that right now - I am playing on a 4+ year old laptop running Windows 10 Home 64Bit.
  • Interesting the people with the problems are running Window 10 Pro

Well I am not trolling you guys though. Even xTrap is a crap software, in my case, it did work after the last maintenance. The xTrap update new files and let Crossfire ran with the new Windows version 1511. Btw, I am on Windows 10 Pro version 64-bit. As someone said, there is a cummulative update KB3118754 and I have not installed it yet. So my version is pretty much the new build that just got released. I am trying to update the cummulative one and see if it is still working after that or not. For other people, it could be that the problem is still persisted. Maybe you guys can open the ticket and send them the dump file so that they can take a look and try to fix it again. And this problem is definitely with xTrap, so don't tell me it is Windows because xTrap has to load a particular driver, in this case, it's X6va060. My guess about this driver is that xTrap needs an elevated permission in order to scan for suspicious software, so it has to load a specific driver into the kernel and then from there, it will be able to scan and see if people use program to cheat or not. But because Windows update a new kernel with a new version, the driver does not compatible with the new version, hence the blue screen. This problem should be investigated by Z8 and xTrap WiseLogic company, not by Microsoft, especially if you go the link that Mod provided for more info on this, the guy from that forum said the problem was not originated from Windows but from that paricular game itself. And for many peopl that have not have the problem, it could be beacause the new update of Windows might not rolled out to them yet and they have not installed it. So you might check your version of Windows to make sure if it is a newer version or an older version. If you have updated to the new version and exhibit this problem, roll back to the previous version and stop the update for new version of Windows until there is a fix for this.

Updated: Did an install on the cummulative update above and Crossfire is working for me at this time. So right now it could be an isolated issue for different people. Like I said, send them the ticket and info so they can take a look. Or reverse or stay with the previous Windows version until this is get ironed out.
  • i can confirm that crossfire is not working on 2 of my pc's running win 10 home and pro versions of windows 10 both fully updated to 1511 build 10586.11 BSOD after x-trap loads with same error (x6va060)
  • I've been playing CF since 2010, I've heard a lot about Xtrap errors and that xtrap is ****, but I've never understood this as much as now.
This isn't the kind of help that I've expected.
All of my games work expect crossfire,
Microsoft will not update windows for CF. The problem faces lots of people so it's a public one, if some people didn't face it that doesn't make us the problem, you should update your game to be capable with all systems with the minimum requirements you have mentioned in the page of downloading.
    Figure out a solution !
