BGL - New Maps?

BGL is considering the possibility of adding new maps and we'd like to see what people think.

  • Yeah bring back the competitive reserved maps, the maps we have now are getting boring to play on. so bring back these 4 maps if you can.

    And you can mix and match with BGL maps so you can have Santoria(R1), The Mine(R2), Sub-base(QF), Port(SF) & Factory(F). you know what I'm saying?
  • @polyatyxia Bunker and Morocco are not competetive maps. Morocco is too one sided with nowhere to hide / decent nades / connectors / angles.
    Bunker is too straight forward, with no nade spots, and too mid oriented.

    The Mine, Santoria, Ceyhan got my full support though.
  • Factory is nice map for competitive play. It's simple, not too big just perfect. Another good 5v5 map imo is Spain, but some people have fps drop there.

    Apart from the 5 maps that we already have, here are some interesting additions that you should consider when updating the map pool:

    ~Have two map pools, one "main" consisting of 6 maps and one "secondary" consisting of 3 maps.

    ~In a BO-3 format 2 maps from "main" pool and 1 map from the "secondary" are going to be played [to avoid the banning of all newly added maps from teams that aren't used to them]

    ~In case of a disagreement knife round is going to be played on Port A-long to decide which team is going to start the map-banning first.

    ~Teams are going to consecutively ban maps from both pools [4 maps banned from the "main" and 2 maps banned from the "secondary"]

    ~The remaining 3 maps are going to be played.

    Main map pool:

    > Black widow
    > Port
    > Sub base
    > Mexico
    > Ankara

    + Factory [most balanced map out of all other possible map additions]

    Secondary map pool:

    > Ceyhan
    [we should be promoting this map since we are the only version who has the original-extended version of the map and not the cr@ppy-shortened CFBR version]
    > The mine
    [perfect]
    > Santoria
    [has 1-2 client-error spots but they can be easily avoided]


    Note that all the new maps that I suggest have been in the competitive/scrim map pool a few years ago.

    Extra suggestion about rules: If a team spots any use of flash-guard, muzzle-flame, VIP in another bag & char-backpack they are obliged to notify the enemy team a.s.a.p. and only up to one round can be deducted as a penalty.

  • Wow, just saw this Borjah, wish a certain someone would've let me know but I can't make any excuses to be honest. Sounds like a good idea and is an option for sure. Would be good to see more people supporting that idea before a decision is made.
