Mine I believe is for Crossfire Idk for sure. When you launch Crossfire it Simply starts downloading and quits anywhere from 340kb to 401kb and quits instantly.
I can give you my Xtrap folder if you want to try it out?CF patch I guess.
If it wasn't a guess it would be better.

Scan your own files first, they should give the same detections. These are both false positives in case you are wondering. Post back if it works or not? If I had a decent upload speed I would upload the whole game, but that's just too long for this. -
I did all of the following steps. and No Change whatsoever. Thank you for trying.
Sucks. Try the below, if this does not help I am not sure what will. You will probably just have to wait for support to contact you back.
search for CMD in your bar and start it is administrator
Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press "Enter"
Then type "netsh winsock reset" and press "Enter"
Restart your PC
What type of processes do you have running at the time of this error? Do you two have anything in common?

Ok, I merged a few threads on the same issue. For now, the solution is to reinstall the game. If a simple reinstall doesn't work you have to :
1) Uninstall the game completely, and delete Z8Games folder from your program files folder
2) Perform system cleaning (Ex. Using CCleaner)
3) Disable your Anti-Virus real-time protection
4) Re-download the newest version of the game http://crossfire.z8games.com/downloadS2.aspx
5) Install the game
6) Add CrossFire and CrossFire folder to your Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions list
7) Close all programs running in the background
8) Re-enable your Anti-Virus real-time protection -
When it was happening to me it felt like the server connection was timing out, like the patch server was limiting traffic. Several people tried reinstalling and it had no effect, you just have to keep trying it every few minutes until it finally works.
It wasn't even a big patch, it took like five seconds and all I recall seeing patched were some web banner images for the current events. -
let me know when z8games actually fixes their fcking sht so people can play the games with no problems mr mod. No wonder people are quitting this game a bunch of dumb children are running it and have no idea how to run a game, how to make good updates to the game without messing it up so tons of players can't get on.
