Chargeback

I've sent a ticket to Z8 asking to see why my account got blocked because of chargeback when I haven't bought ZP in a while. Just wondering if anyone else has that issue atm. I know a couple of people that have that issue as well and they haven't done anything about it. It all happened after this recent update. Any ideas why?

  • They stopped accepting credit and debit cards a while back and some people who deposited through either method during a certain time frame had those purchases refunded, I recall reading something about a bunch of people using stolen info to make such purchases and rather than sort through each case Z8 likely decided to just refund any suspect purchases and stop accepting those payment methods. If your credit card ended up with a negative balance or had some of the balance decreased, or if you noticed extra money in your account this is likely what happened. If they refunded a purchase you made the account would be put in chargeback status until you pay them back what they refunded.

    It's also possible for them to put your account in chargeback status if a survey provider that awarded you ZP later claimed that you gave them false info or you failed to follow through on the requirements of a survey provider's "offer" after they awarded you ZP, such as canceling a paid subscription plan too early.

    Either way you'd have to send a support ticket and ask them what amount is owed and why, and they would tell you specifically how to pay the amount back.
