CrossFire Patch client Error

Hi guys, I'm having a problem where I open up my CrossFire client, I click 'Start Game', a few seconds later the screen closes and CrossFire doesn't start. I open up the client again and I click 'Start Game' again and a small box pops up and says "Patch Client is already running" I click OK and nothing happens.

I have found a few solutions that don't work. Like, "Go to Compatability and click the box with the tick to disable compatability" =That doesn't work=. Or.. "Go to CrossFire folder and open the Crossfire patcher. =Doesn't work=.

I need help, if someone could reply and give me some help it would be surely appreciated.
