Raw Input needed for competitive
for as long as i can remember, the mouse registration in crossfire has been janky to say the least
for starters, the way it's registring mouse movement is by counting the ammount of pixels the pointer traveled away from the middle of the screen, and then 'resetting' the cursor back to the middle of the screen
this has numerous issues, for one the pixel counting is never an accurate measure, because of pixel rounding, windows decides if the mouse moved far enough to move one pixel on screen, there's no 'in-between' values that crossfire can register, so small movements that don't account for a full pixel don't get represented in game
secondly, the game has polling rate issues, we always have to lower the polling rate of our gaming mice to be able to play the game properly
and even after all that, the game has terrible mouse accelleration on any sensitivity setting aside from 0
therefor this game does need Raw Input to become viable as an esport, the mouse registration in this game is the worst i've ever seen, it's not even remotely as viable as a 'competitive' game as something like counterstrike without propper mouse input

Raw input along with compatibility with higher refresh rates. -
you guys are requesting things that are effectively tied to the game engine. changing this would mean creating a completely new game, it has been discussed before and will never materialize. the best version of this game you will ever experience is playing on a lan client.
