Can't connect to Server/Channels

Hi, had a long break of CF and wanted t0 play again.
I logged in and everything is smooth. i can mostly connect
to the Servers, sometimes not, but i never can connect to a channel.
There is always said: "Connecting Channel. Please Wait". The Channel
is not empty so I don't know if it's a problem by the Server or mine.
The problem was also already 3 days ago.

Plis help me :>

having exact the same problem ... i left the game for year and half and returned back 2 days ago once i login i try to enter the server as it gives me couple of seconds only to type my id and password and enter the server successfully and if i was too late i won't be able to enter any server and it freezes at the message "connecting to server please wait" and even if i was able to enter a server it stops at the same message when entering the channel ...

ANY IDEAS , SOLUTIONS ???

Exact same thing here. I've been off for about 2 weeks and came back today, when I clicked on Alpha Server it took forever to load. I tried letting load for about 30 minutes an nothing.

Reinstalled but still the same error.
My brother has not the error though .

Temp solution

hey guys, i suffered the same for weeks until i had found a trick that worked with me and i hope it does so with you ..

* In the start menu search bar, type "cmd"

o "cmd.exe" should be one of the first things on the list

* Right Click "cmd.exe" and select "Run as administrator"

o The command prompt window should now appear

* Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press "Enter" on your keyboard

* Then type "netsh winsock reset" and press "Enter" on your keyboard

* Reboot your PC.


after doing this trick i restart my pc and then i open my crossfire and it work fine no freezing in connection channel or rooms it work fine .. some of my friends (not me) after closing the game and restarting it again the same issue happens so they need to do these steps every time they open the game .. i know its not a permanent solution but a temporary one is better than nothing
