Windows 10 compatibility

(Skip to the bold line for the actual fix) The game is supposed to change your computers resolution to whatever you have chosen automatically. If you have it on full screen it does it when u launch the game, and if you have it in windowed mode it does it before getting into a match. Now because cf is coded by armatures and supported by stupid ass people, the game does not do this, so you have to do it manually.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ THE ABOVE, JUST DO WHAT IS IN THE BELOW LINE.
So that was an elaborate way of saying change your monitor resolution to whatever you want it to be in game prior to launching the game, and in your case, 800x600 then launch crossfire.
Now if you don't know how to do that, face palm, then right click on your desktop -> display settings -> advanced display settings -> choose a freaking resolution.
Also make sure you change the scaling mode of your graphics card to stretched. Do this from NVIDIA control panel (if you don't have NVIDIA then your f4cked and i cant help you). This step might not be necessary (but it can cause problems) however if you also don't know how to do this you probably don't deserve a computer, but anyway, open NVIDIA control panel -> Adjust desktop size and position -> scaling -> full-screen.
Hope that helped
