List of common Xtrap errors and it solutions.

If you were to get these error messages in order, the first one you are likely to come across is this one:

A fairly easy one, the X-Trap patch engine was unable to connect to the patch server. Firewall blocking it would cause this error, as would dns resolving an incorrect IP address or the target server actively refusing connection attempt. Chances are if you don’t get this error you shouldn’t get either of the next two.

Solution: Allow your firewall to run the TwelveSky .exe files namely TwelveSky2.exe and XTrap.xt. Or configure your firewall to add the 2 .exe files to the ‘Allow’ list.

the second one would be this:

Basically the file contains the list of X-Trap files so the patch engine can check if it is up to date couldn’t be downloaded. An http 404 file not found or 403 forbidden will result in this error, it could be possible that security software or proxy may prevent the download of this file.

Solution: Allow your firewall / other security software to run the TwelveSky .exe files namely TwelveSky2.exe and XTrap.xt. Or configure your firewall to add the 2 .exe files to the ‘Allow’ list. Do not use a proxy ip address or disable your proxy IP program if you’re using one.

the third is:

This error covers the download of any of the X-Trap files; you can tell which one failed to download from the patch engine window at the bottom right of the screen. Once again it is most likely that some security software would be the cause here or perhaps a proxy server.

Solution: Allow your firewall / other security software to run the TwelveSky .exe files namely TwelveSky2.exe and XTrap.xt. Or configure your firewall to add the 2 .exe files to the ‘allow’ list. Do not use a proxy ip address or disable your proxy IP program if you’re using one.

this error is also related to the downloading of the x-trap files:

You get this error if security software detects a virus/trojan in the downloaded file and automatically cleans/removes it. The file was downloaded successfully, but failed to be saved.

Solution: Re-Download the game client. Download it thru torrent or use a download manager program. The TwelveSky2 full has been tried and tested to be virus free.

this one is the one I’ve never come across before and haven’t tested too much yet for variations:

You will receive this error at login screen, you’ve run the client fine but somehow the X-Trap files in your client are not up-to-date. If you have just launched the client then your client hasn’t correctly downloaded the new patch list file and received the latest X-Trap files so likely an ipconfig /flushdns will fix it.

Solution1: Reset your modem or router then try to run TwelveSky2 and let X-Trap patch.

Solution2: Flush dns – Refresh dns.
a.) Go to Run command then type in “cmd” then “Ok”.
b.) Types in “ipconfig /flushdns” then enter.
c.) Close cmd then run TwelveSky2 again.

a fairly common error after maintenance:

You will get this if either your game exe is modified or if there is an exe update in the latest patch but your patch client fails to get the latest patch list and latest patch files; an ipconfig /flushdns could fix it, force refreshing the patch list should work.

Solution1: Reset your modem or router then try to run TwelveSky2 and let X-Trap patch.

Solution2: Flush dns – Refresh dns.
a.) Go to Run command then type in “cmd” then “Ok”.
b.) Types in “ipconfig /flushdns” then enter.
c.) Close cmd then run TwelveSky2 again.

another reasonably uncommon error:

One who got this error had alcohol120% installed and upon uninstalling it did not receive the error anymore. Thus this error is likely to occur in the presence of virtual devices installed on the system.

Solution: Disable or turn off Alcohol120% (CD burning software) / virtual drives / emulator software before running TwelveSky 2.

Hope that helps you.
