HGWC "Detected file-changing"

I get this error after the patcher runs, and sometimes after I am able to log in (about 30-40 seconds after that).






I found the RF006.rez in the Z8Games/Crossfire/rez folder, just where it should be. I looked for the file listed (same one but with the .\rez\ before) and I wasn't able to find it. I'm going to try re-naming the file to match what they have listed and see if that works.


Havn't seen any threads made for this error- am I the only one?

Here is my working RF006.REZ file, download this file and put it into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez and say YES to replace this file.

I got the same problem (almost).

HGWC pulls out, that "crossfire.exe" is changed. I freshly reinstalled CF using today's installer, the file is 100% as it should be!!!

I'm going to unistall/reinstall and we'll see if that works.

Zombie the error message changed to include different other rez files. I've checked them all- they all seem fine, so I'll see if it works when I reinstall


Edit: so I reinstalled, and I still have the exact same error, except now it changes between RF101 and RF093

Bumping, in hopes that someone else is having this problem.

All support has done is told me to reinstall. I've made sure the CF folder in my program files is empty. I've updated all my drivers. My DirectX is fully updated. I've restarted my computer, and I'm currently in the process of re-installing CF.

I'll edit this with details once I've finished downloading.


Edit: SAME ******** ERROR

Strangely, when it went to patch the 1st time, it took like 15 seconds. Normally it takes 20 min or so to fully patch after I re-install. But right after, I got the same error

Update- support was unable to fix this. Havn't been able to log in for about 2 months now. If it starts working I'll post updates/solutions.

same happened to me but with RF003 file when i played CF after longtime on my laptop but after restarting the game again twice,the problem was fixed.
I have CF on my pc which is continuously updated and played,i got no problems there
