CF patcher won't load...

I'm totally baffled. Since the new update I haven't been able to log on CrossFire due to this Error W[2007] L[0] crossfire.exe

Well, I decided "okay I'll just do a COMPLETE uninstall and a fresh reinstall" since that's fixed most problems in the past and well, that made it 10x worse.
Now here's the new problem. Since I did that, I load up CrossFire, press "START" like usual and literally nothing happens. LITERALLY NOTHING, no HGW and all that great stuff. What the hell is going on? I have literally uninstalled CrossFire about 12 times in the past 2 days trying to figure out what the hell has happened. Oh and believe me, I've tried loading the patcher itself and everything else.

I've turned off everything from the firewall to any other protection, I've also done exceptions, porting and pretty much everything I have seen on the internet/know myself. I've even tried to fiddle with the version file and do what people say is a "fix" BUT HERE'S ANOTHER PROBLEM... it says literally nothing to what everyone's version file says. Also I only have a version.DAT file and not the other part that everyone else has. From what I've seen most peoples is like this:

It's also got some weird small backwards L after that. I've copy and pasted what most people have and saved the file blah, blah. No difference. My friend is also pretty good with this stuff and he can't even figure it out.

Yes I know, I was just giving an example that was similar. According to the CF staff something is conflicting the download but I can't figure out what because I've turned off AVG and everything else that could affect it.
