Possible League
Hi guys,
I may make a league exclusively for the UK servers. The leagues aim will be to create a competitive scene for the UK side of this version (this includes British, Turkish and Egyptian players)
These countries will be focused on, as Z8 owns the licenses for these countries.
Other players that play in the UK server, such as Germans, have their own version along with their own competition on CF EU.
I know that there's a shortage of players, especially from the UK in particular. That's why to start things off we'll be allowing 2 players from EU countries per team, as long as the majority (the other 3 players) of the team are living within the UK, Turkey or Egypt.
This game is based on regions and licenses and the publishers have never been able to fully support countries that they don't own the license for (for example, UK players cant play or compete on CF EU, as CF EU doesn't own our license) Plus, Z8 lost interest in their UK servers years ago and never do anything to improve our community. In order to prevent future problems it's best to focus on the countries that are already owned by Z8; especially as we don't have competition when other countries already have it.
I'm still thinking about the Leagues name, our prizes and the AC. I'm aware that few UK players check the forums but this is a start.
Please leave your thoughts and suggestions in the comments, thanks.

Waste of time, Josh.. When the community had like 5-6 teams you tried to help and it didn't work then, now there's 2 teams.
Good luck though.
I see where you're coming from, it may end up being a waste of time but I'm going to try once again.
4 EU/UK teams signed up for EGL last week from what I've seen (a new league) There may not be teams, but there are dozens of clans, who I'm sure would like to get their hands on some ZP. The last few times I've tried to help, I don't think I ever followed through, or put in much effort. This time, I'll set the times and dates and take a leap of faith that people will sign up. You could always come a long with a few of your mates.

lol I find it stupid that you're going to try to make a league for "UK's" when we already have a set league with an anti-cheat and prizes "EGL"... stop wasting your time lol. there's like 3-4 UK teams that actually compete and they're doing pretty good in EGL winning most of them.
don't waste your time. like I always say[time = money]. You can do so much more instead of wasting your time making another league lol...
EDIT: why don't you just help SPleague instead of just making another league lol... from what I heard SPleague isn't making any profit from this. He's just doing this for the community so the competitive scene can still have fun competing. -

If only you'd try to make this 2 months ago.. Our team quit, I think only Craig comes on rarely.
You had so much love for the UK community since I met you, I respect what you're doing, just wish you didn't waste your time. -
sure id sign my team up
Sounds good, glad you're up for it.lol I find it stupid that you're going to try to make a league for "UK's" when we already have a set league with an anti-cheat and prizes "EGL"... stop wasting your time lol. there's like 3-4 UK teams that actually compete and they're doing pretty good in EGL winning most of them.

I've had conversations with them and we're collaborating but nothings official, I may be able to join their admin team or I may not, it depends on certain circumstances. He's running the league for everyone, partly due to the lack of UK and NA teams. I think we should be focusing on specific groups of people so that we have a competitive foundation for the UK servers (people that are stuck on this version due to licensing, and have little to no where to go for competition). I went on your youtube and it seems like you've only played this game for a short while (due to your response in a comment) so I won't expect you to understand the complexity of this "community". Most of these "UK" teams you're talking about, are from countries licenced by CF EU, and they should be competing there. It's pointless having leagues that support people who already have support elsewhere. We need competition focused on the essential foundations of the community in order for us to grow, get noticed, and maybe have larger competition like international events. Even the NA scene have a lack of teams right now. The difference is, they DO focus on Americans, Canadians and Mexicans "Only legal residents of the USA, Canada and Mexico are allowed to participate in the North American Go4Crossfire." and they DO have international events such as CFS and WCA. SPLeague is doing a great job, and it will surely help us out, but we need our own competition. Maybe me and him can work something out and host specific events within his league without creating another, but we'd have to agree on things. If only you'd try to make this 2 months ago.. Thanks for your respect man. I quit for around 9 months without playing, and I wouldn't say that I "play" because I'm so inactive on this game, but the thing is, you can always start and stop playing; especially if new competition is around. Wish me luck, my motivation only goes so far. -

British Gaming League will run some test tourneys/cups this summer, to demonstrate whether people are interested in competing, winning prizes and being the best. This could potentially be the start of a strong competitive scene, and it's up to you guys to change the community. I'm always happy to hear if you're interested so please let me know if this is something you want to take part in.
Thanks,

My team could play maybe in August if theres any good prizes/no moronic administration.
Good luck in whatever you'll pursue though.
The Russian version owns the license for Estonia where you live, so I advise you to play on Mail.RU's version. But if your team has 3 players from the UK and/or Turkey and Egypt, then I look forward to seeing you. If not then you're still welcome during the early stages and the support alone is appreciated. Still working on prizes. -
