[ESL] Go4Crossfire #54/Monthly
Go4Crossfire Cup #54
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that Go4Crossfire Cup #54 WILL be happening tomorrow. Head on over to the site and sign up! I'd post a link but I'm not home at the moment, and wanted to get this out there as soon as possible.
The cup starts at 3:00pm EST, check ins at 2:30 EST.
Regarding the Monthly Tournament
As many of you know, the monthly did not happen today. This was because there was no way I would have been able to run the tournament, as my permissions on the ESL site had not been set up yet. We would like to reschedule this event, preferably to next Saturday the 13th. This is yet to be confirmed, but tentatively its what we are looking at, just to keep you in the loop. I will make a post later this week to confirm the date and time of the rescheduled tournament.
As always, add me on Skype (tell me you are from the CF community in your request) if you would like to discuss something or have questions.

Yes, most people complained when it was 3EST. It was moved to 5 to accommodate those who have evening plans, while still allowing for people with morning work schedules. -
How would you all feel about meeting in the middle, say 4:00 EST for future events? Clearly people are split on it.
As for tomorrow's cup, it will still be at 3pm EST because I've already announced that as the time. But we can look into time changes for future cups. -

5:00EST was meeting in the middle; they had bumped it back from 6 hours as a compromise. -

Hey guys, just wanted to go over a couple of things about the cup today. First of all, congrats to Teamw0w who won against Fly Society 2-0 in the final (Black Widow, Ankara).
As far other notes, overall I was pretty happy with how things went for running my first event. Of course there were areas where I can do much better, and I have noted many of those to fix for next time. Those being;
-Let you guys know maps sooner
-Give you the format for the event sooner
-Checking the forums more (I was more concerned with keeping tabs on my Skype messages rather than the forums, and I need to be aware of both modes of communication)
-Make a post every Friday before the cup to highlight the first two items I mentioned
If there are any areas that I didn't mention that you think I can do better with, I'd love some constructive criticism. My goal is to make this as best as possible for you guys.
In the future, I also plan on having the semi-finals/finals streamed and casted by myself. At the very least, the finals. I didn't this cup just because I wanted to make sure everything else went smoothly.
If you haven't already, add me on Skype (anthony.miserendino). This is the easiest way to get in contact with me on the day of cups, or any time really. In your contact request, please let me know you are a CF player, it makes things easier for me as far as organization goes.
Later this week I will be making posts regarding the rescheduling of the monthly tournament as well as other events coming up/announcements, so stay tuned.
If you play in Go4 cups, please take a second to vote on what time you would like the cups to start. I will take the results of the poll into consideration, as well as other factors when we look at start times for future cups.

Thanks to all who came out and played today. It was a lot of fun for my first event, and I hope to improve as each week goes.
