windows 8/8.1

I recently got a new pc and it has windows 8.1.will i be able to play cf? Is downgrading 8.1 to 8 a solution? Some people say they can play with Windows8 and others can not.

I play With windows 7 cuz i dont like the new upgraded 8
try , and my friend play will on Win 8 its just a windows not a virus

I played cf on windows 7 for many years too. As said before I got a new comp. ,actually i'm getting it tomorrow hopefully, so i'm just asking if I'm going to have any issues .
