If you go to every international event and lose round 1, and win every national event, you will be making roughly 20K a year (over minimum wage).

    not exactly

assuming you're working minimum wage with 40 hrs per week and assuming you don't have holidays, you'll be making almost $21k lol... plus you get work experience which in turn can be put on your resume and apply for a new job

    lol...

    lol...

O_O What is minimum wage where you live? It's 7-8$ in most places that I know of. It is 7.25$ in Oklahoma. That is $15,950 before taxes in a year at 40 hrs a week.

Edit: And if it was a choice between playing any game and making as much or slightly less than a full time minimum wage job.. Would you really choose the job? The minimum wage job argument is awful. Hypothetically, if the choice was 20k at a full time minimum wage job, or 15k playing a game, I would choose the game for sure.

I don't play CF for the money, I play competitive because, to me, it's fun af. Sure, I could/would be making much more working at this job or that job by now, but idgaf, I'm trynna do what I think is fun bruh. If you/whoever think it is stupid, then more power to you, but there is a reason why I do what I want.. It's because I can live my life how I see fit, and that is my prerogative. Same goes for others who like playing games and trying to compete. Just because you think it is stupid to compete doesn't mean it really is

You also need to take into account hours and match scheduling.

Min wave + nights free = Hurray

I wouldn't choose either one, but I have some false sense of entitlement to a certain level of salary since I got a degree. Being able to blow money and not worry about finances is nice. I can only imagine what actual rich kids feel like

Stop trying to rationalize your Crossfire addiction.

The return on investment of playing Crossfire for money is absolutely AWFUL.

Crossfire should be a part-time hobby, not some lifestyle choice. Leave it at that kid.

You're addressing a guy that still believes crossfire is alive and still at a competitive level, all he does is rationalise and lives in his own deluded reality.
