MSI Afterburner prevents the game from running properly?

Hi,
once again I just felt like I needed something hilarious I could really laugh about. So I updated CF after some months of inactivity in order to watch a bunch of Middle East players desperately attempting to speak the English language.
My issue though: I recently started to run MSI Afterburner to get better performance in other, more demanding games. Now it turns out that CF crashes after a couple of minutes once it has been started. Either in the client or ingame, the game won't maintain stable. It seems like MSI AB is causing the issue. Is there any way I can run both, MSI AB and CF at the same time? It'd work with MSI AB turned off but it's a pain in the ass to amplify the GPU's core clock speed every time I want to run a more demanding game, which is pretty much everything besides CF.
