Mouse settings/resolution

Back when I started CF and up to 2013, I used 500hz for my mouse. I have been using 125hz ever since then until a few days ago. I just changed my mouse back to 500hz and I honestly have better aim now.
What exactly happens when you change your polling rate for your mouse in this game? -

Mouse : Roccat Tyon
DPI : generally 1400/1600, but i choose it on the fly depending on the mode and mood
Rate : 1000Hz, below i find it "rough"
Res : 1920x1080
Sens (CF) : 10
Sens (Mouse) : -3' wrote:S[oulBleed;4224562']DPI: 10000 with 1000 HZ | Game Mouse Sens : 0 | Windows mouse setting: 0.47845 | Resulation : 1920x1080
High DPI & Low sens; u can catch every frame ... never mouse lag, %100 snap taget but u must own good GPU
I never digged this way. Thank you a lot for the share. To can use the 8200 dpi of my mouse and avoid the CF setting ... sound clearly sexy to me ! -

Well, tryed (between twos bugs) and finally keeped. It's a bit more tricky to find the DPI spot for riffle and snipe, but damn it improve a lot the sensations.
I'm for the moment between 7200 and 8200 (maximum of mouse) for snipe, 4000 and 5000 for riffle/others. It's very smooth, more versatile (short/long) and use more the potential of my game's gears.
It take time to improve to the best, but damn thank you for the tips.
