Some help needed - If teams have time while scrimming
Hey guys,
Just doing some research on match lengths using a particular format. We would really appreciate some feedback from teams in how long matches take using this formats:
1) Set half to 11 rounds
- Play first half to a TOTAL of 11 rounds (Half score 11-0 / 10-1 / 9-2 / 8-3 / 7-4 / 6-5) and then switch sides and do the same thing.
- First team to win 12 rounds is the winner.
2) Set half to 13 rounds.
- Play first half to a TOTAL of 13 rounds (Half score 13-0 / 12-1 / 11-2 / 10-3 / 9-4 / 8-5 / 7-6) and then switch sides and do the same thing.
- First team to win 14 rounds is the winner.
Just note the time when you start your match and when you finish it. Post your times here and specify which format you tried. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

O_O I was just talking to Andrej a few days ago about how we should up the round count to 11 or 13 round halves. CS has 15 and it makes it more interesting. 9 rnds just seems too short to really play to your potential.
If I cast 15 rounds that it's surgery for voice next day. -
Pls no, this isn't 2005 anymore. playing 11 or even 13 instead of 9, and first to 12 or 14 is imho a great idea. I remember the old format in CS where teams were forced to play out even if they won. They were mostly trolling once they had 16 rounds and **** was unwatchable. Just make it 11 or 13 rounds, once one of the team won 12 or 14 respectively, they can just leave.

Fyi your wording is mixed up.
Playing a total of 11 rounds each half would be a first to 12 format.
Also I know what you mean via having teams playout the entire half even after losing. Don't do it, its horrible and no one ever cares or tries during it. -

That's true. Very true.
So basically it would be:
11 rounds total each half. Half scores would be anything from 11-0 down to 6-5. First to 12 rounds wins.
OR
13 rounds total each half. Half scores would be anything from 13-0 down to 7-6. First to 14 rounds wins.
Best of 3's? -

I would say best bet for more rounds would be:
Early event stages: First to 12, 11 round halves. Best of 1
Late Stages: First to 12, 11 Round halves best of 3
