A Server without hackers

Would it be too much to ask to create a certain server where a ping over 100 is not allowed?

This would create a possibiltiy to give players a nicer athmosphere and an acutual game environment that they deserve to have. Rather than being annoyed by some lagging around with a 200 ping in a first person shooter. The amount of hackers could also be decreased there as most of them have a ping through the hack going over 100.

This is a suggestion that you could market in a way that the "true" Crossfire community would enjoy.

  • It's a good idea but i don't think this gonna happen....
  • True, although Crossfire / Z8games could fix this issue without alot of effort

And how in the world do you think we go on about doing it?
What you are saying is great, but it simply isn't possible. Or acceptable for that matter. 100+ Ping does not mean someone is a Hacker.

Just suck it up and play. - It's not that bad, really. - It was WAY worse before.

If that answer isn't cutting it then just go play CrossFire Europe, (Just going off of your Forum Name, there's bound to be more low pings there.) - Can't say anything about the Hackers there though.
  • with all respect

this idea like we hide our heads in the ground .
why we dont talk about x-trap shortage ? or asking to replace it by VAC ( example ) ?
we know that GM's try to do thier best , but sometimes things come out handed .
adding 100- server will not solve the problem . many servers empty for years , and as this man said ( not all high ping guys are hackerz ) .

lets go to the main reason ..... X-trap .

xtrap need patching weekly at least . before we lost more good players .

    regards
  • I don't know why that would help. I seen hackers with less ping than 100.
  • Yes but only very few. Most of their pings will go over 100
  • I agree it has been worse. However it is annoying to have people with a constant 200 ping infront of you which you wont be able to hit properly as they are flying around. With a limited ping to 100 in 1 server (not all of them!) this would be prevented, dont you think?
  • Well some Egyptians are covering their ping. Example i saw a guy who was an Egy and he had 0 ping after few seconds it was 20-30 and then 60-90.
Basically speaking yea sure we can get the "hackfree server" But what's the point if some Egyptian will come and cover his ping so he could join it and hack. I have nothing against the idea but some cheaters are smarter( covering ping and hack).
  • That will never happen lmao, but it's not a bad idea. It's annoying when I'm behind the wall already and I still get killed cuz Egyptians have 200+ ping.

If they are covering their ping, this idea is useless.

Not having people with 200 pings in your room creates a much more enjoyable game. This idea does not only target hackers, it also creates a better environment for players.
  • 70% of the population has ~100 ping, doing that will kill this game.

I'm not affected by egys now since I only play zm with my friends but I think z8 shouldnt let people with >200 ping to vote kick since they're usually are noobs. They can still f11 or f12 but they cant start the vote kick themself, cause they kick people they dont like all the time.

About them being kicked? I doubt sb would kick them because they're ACE, if they hack or troll in game then they deserve it.

I am an Egyptian and my ping is 72.
I hope when U going to talk about Egyptian say the most of Egyptian or some Egyptian becance like there is bad people there is good people. Okay?

True, a room with less laggers is more enjoyable.

Those egys who hack don't have the brain to spoof their ping so there's not any problem at all ;)

Don't underrate them, I know some really smart Egyptians.
  • This sadly wouldn't work, but I like the sound of a lag free room :D

Maybe basically what this guy said. But i have to say i find this offensive xD
Those egy who hack don't have brain? If they don't have brain how the hell then they did install hacks?
  • A server with a higher rank requirement (like the golden bar and upwards) would be a better idea...but it will never happen.
  • a server for people with 100 ping and less so if you have over 100 ping you hack?

and also a server without 100+ ping will be a dead server

    This.

Considering how pings were at the beggining of Crossfire(after seeing my own pictures lol) I wouldnt mind that much about ,lets say,max 150 ping.

But if a 200+ ping player with M12S spraying appears, dont expect for everyone to cope with it lol.

He isn't even saying that 100+ ping means they are hacking. But happens the same to me, looks like they hit me way easyer than I hit them... It's just annoying, not hacking. It would be a good idea but needs so many effort like someone just said, so they won't do it I think

    This isn't a good idea.

Enforcing a ping restriction will cut off players from a server.

Because one may have a higher ping than another does NOT mean they are a hacker, it means they don't have as strong as a connection. Discriminating users for that isn't ethical. We can't prove that all hackers have a ping over 100 (which is certainly not the case by the way), and a 100 ping restriction is really restrictive. 150 ping is still very playable for people on both sides of the connection.

This idea has been suggested multiple times, and shot down, too. Users who want to experience better connections have the option to play on closer servers or different clients for the other regions.

If you come across a hacker, report them. Reporting them helps by helping our team identify the source of the hacks, and each report brings them closer to narrowing it down and patching it.

Edit: Just because some don't grasp the concept of lag, I'll explain. When you're lagging, your download speed is not downloading packets of data from the server as fast as others, meaning the server doesn't update/refresh the things going on in the game immediately, but rather delayed. It does not allow someone to get ahead of the server. If people are killing you before can see them, you're probably the one experiencing a delay or they are hacking.
