Failed to download version.ini

Uhmm.. When i'm starting CF it says "Failed to dowload verion.ini why is that? Can someone help me?

1. Go to your CrossFire Folder.
2. Find "version".
3. Properties > Check the "Read-Only" box and apply.
4. Double click "version".
5. Erase everything and paste the following.

[VERSION]
LatestVersion = 1202
MinimalVersion= 1130
OwnVersion = 10

[DOWNLOAD]
server1 = http://cfpatch.z8games.com/download/

[SERVER]
COUNT = 1
IP1 =67.210.208.133

Here is my working version.ini file: http://speedy.sh/8WGzs/version.ini
Put the downloaded file into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire and say YES to replace the file. I hope it helps you.

Thank you very much! Both of you! It patched. But my new problem now is this x-trap error, this is what it says "The acces to X-trap patch server is unstable or X-trap update wasn't able to run properly. Please, restart game.

1.) Are you use the operation system Windows XP at your computer? If yes, change it soon as possible to Windows 7 or Windows 8!
2.) Start patcher_cf.exe as administrator.
3.) It is possible that your security software or proxy configuration ( or VPN program ) may prevent / block the download of this Xtrap patch files and this result in this error.
4.) If nothing works, make a full uninstall from your current Cross Fire version and download the latest official version from Cross Fire NA/UK here: http://crossfire.z8games.com/downloads2.aspx

It seems that your Security software block the cf_launcher... - Add the CrossFire program and the entire CrossFire folder to the list for exceptions of the protection-programs on your computer like firewall and antivirus. Close all unnecessary programs in the background before you start Cross Fire.

Try looking for it on a torrent website. They usually have all the versions you might need. I have been using torrents for these types of things for a long time. I honestly think that the feds are doing everyone a disservice when they close down websites like that especially since the information should be free anyways. I have become a fan of torrents because I usually travel for work and not everywhere I go there is a stable connection to the internet as well as access to some of the software that I need and torrents are usually universally available. One thing I did have a problem with was the fact that both the download and seeding speed has been inconsistent at best. That was when I decided to look into things called seedbox programs. It was supposedly designed to help me get the necessary file at a great speed and also share it with specific people on a private sort of channel type of thing. While dong my research I came across this site that has like a list of the best seedbox programs ad they also compare them between each other. I think that for someone who has very little idea what a seedbox like I did back in the day this might be the best place to start. I still use it to this day
