- Add the CrossFire program and the entire CrossFire folder to the list for exceptions of the protection-programs on your computer like firewall and antivirus. Close all unnecessary programs in the background before you start Cross Fire.

I did: I basically allowed the entire z8game folder through my firewall.

I bet the main problem is your antivirus program Webroot.

Webroot is a large program that's always running in the background.
Look here as proof, i found this post from a guy who use Webroot like you and have game problems with his game; http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/113860/webroot-conflict-unable-to-load-game-after-patch
Btw ask the official webroot forum for help with this issue; i mean they can help you very fast and give you more helpfully tips as we can here; https://community.webroot.com/
Btw i would uninstall this webroot av-software and try Microsoft security essiantels, it's for free.
