Hack Tool Has Been Detected (Constantly)

I've been trying to play for about 5 hours now and I only succesfully completed 2 games thus far. Every single game (sometimes just whenever I log on), I get a 'Hack Tool Has Been Detected' error or I get the message 'Disconnected from server'. This results in a 3minute kick from the game and this has been non-stop for the past hours.

I really don't have a clue what this could be as I've never experienced this before.

I play Crossfire on a Windows 7 Ultimate partition on my Macbook Pro 13' Retina. It's a bootcamp partition with no other programs (apart from the default installed) and Crossfire on it. Note that my crossfire installation folder is on an external harddrive (as the partition is only 20GB and 18GB is needed to install windows 7). This couldn't be the problem though as I've been playing CF like this for the past 3 months..

(I use an external mouse and an external keyboard as well)

Servers played: UK1 & UK4

Can anyone help me out?

EDIT: I have just received the 'Disconnect from Host 0-3' error (again, something new)

Have you EVER used a cheating, manipulation or code editing software? If you have, clear your computer COMPLETELY of them.

After, re-install Crossfire. Try restoring your computer to an earlier point in time (before the software was installed).

In the following thread, the Ex-Mod Saidan gives information about 3rd party software - http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=261960. Also, in this thread, it will give important information based on the 'Hacking Situation' - http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=301355.

Unfortunately, the anti-cheat software used with Crossfire was recently updated in order to improve it. If it's saying you hack, you must've used some sort of program at one point in your computer-using life. Also, the fact that it's recurring sort of shows there's something wrong within your computer, not Crossfire.

Edit: Also, are you (what the gamers' call) a 'shifter' or a 'croucher'? - You press [Shift] or [Ctrl] when you shoot? A while ago, I discovered that when I help shift and aimed for a golden headshot I would get a Hack Tool Detected. If you're a Shifter/Croucher, that might be your problem.

Edit: Visit http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=301655. Here you can see a possible cause for your problem, Server Issues. z8 Support have given support/ticket replies in this thread (screenshots from other players).

I have never used a cheating system for Crossfire (Been playing since beta in 2008) and never have I encountered the problem to be this stubborn.

It shouldn't be necessary to make my computer clean because there is nothing on it. All I downloaded onto this Windows 7 partition was Crossfire, nothing else.

For a fact I am a croucher/shifter when I shoot and I bunnyhop and walk around a lot in game.. I'll try and see if this actually affects the gameplay or not, thanks!
  • Sometimes the game will interfere with programs that you are running in the background. These programs may include firewalls or antivirus scans.
Try closing any of the programs that you believe could interfere with the game!

Sometimes when you lose the connection to the game for a short time, the same hack tool detection can appear.
Please check if you experience any connection issue. We recommend examining any hardware or software that interacts with your internet connection between your computer and your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Routers, firewalls, anti-virus software and the like can occasionally interfere with your connection to CrossFire. You should provide or make "exceptions" (put CrossFire in the list of safe programs) so that the game can pass through any security settings you may have enabled. Also viruses or spyware's may also cause issues for the game. We recommend scanning your computer for any viruses and spyware's, and remove them.

    Thank you.

Thanks for responding, but the problem with all of this is that I don't have a single program on my windows 7 apart from the default installed programs by Microsoft and CrossFire, (Not even an AntiVirus) so there can't be any interference with anything at all running in the background. 2ednq6d.png (The list goes further down with default installed windows drivers)

Also, my connection is stable (+ I'm playing wired). All of this adds up to me not realising why on earth I get kicked of the game constantly. My computer is the cleanest possible and I'v been playing like this for quite a while now. Why is it when I come back from my holiday all of a sudden the game starts to crash?
  • I got this yesterday aswell, it only happened once but I couldn't access my account for another 5 minutes after that and the only pages I was using was YouTube and z8 page... I've been playing since 2009 and it's happened a couple times before!
It's not a massive issue, only minor but would be good if this could be prevented from happening.
  • same thing
i posted a while ago and i still am getting the same problems
