Permanent Ban If We Get A "Hack Tool Detected" Error?

I've been checking the forums and looking around for updates to see if Crossfire has anything to say about the recent errors that a large number of players have been getting after the recent patches. And I saw Crossfire posted on their Facebook page, this.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I really hope I am.. Basically what I got out of that status update was,
"Yeah we tested our hacking software and it's actually detecting previously installed and/or used hacks, so all of you getting these errors must be hackers! Any detected hacking will get you permabanned!"
Considering there are quite a few players on the forums asking for help and explanations for an error that obviously had something to do with the recent patch, you really did pick the perfect time to do this.
Not only have I played Crossfire for about 5 years and have VIP and spent well over $100 on this game (which is my absolute favorite) but have NEVER attempted to hack and have never had technical issues this bad. With all my hard work on this account, I'm not going to throw it all away by hacking and getting permabanned and if you think otherwise than feel free to monitor my gameplay.
Within the.. what, year and a half that I've had this new pc and I been the only one that have used it have had nothing noticeably wrong with it. I've ran virus scans, disabled and stopped programs from running with services and task manager.
I did all I could, even re-installed crossfire only to still get these errors.
Yes, I finally figured out how to run crossfire without getting the errors (most of the time at least) but if the next "Hack tool detected" error I get will Permaban me, I'd rather not risk playing Crossfire at all or purchase any more zp until I know for sure that you've solved this problem and accepted the fact that it isn't the players but maybe just a bad patch.
If for whatever reason I have used a program that Crossfire has considered a Hack tool, I don't think it should be Crossfire's concern to monitor my entire pc and it's history for anything suspicious.
Just as long as it isn't running while playing Crossfire I don't see why there should be an issue.
But maybe I'm misunderstood and I've just read it wrong.
This is just assuming you are permabanning players who get this error without at least a little investigation. If this is the case, you're probably going to lose a big chunk of players who not only have never hacked but are frequent paying customers.
It'd be awesome if a mod or admin or whatever could get back to me on this.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct you. I can understand how you misinterpreted the posting in the light of some hacktool detection issues.
Some of the hacktool detection issues that were posted in the forum in the last days, might be connection issues. Those hacking detections don't result in extended or permanent bans.

However, the hacking detections we talked about in the quoted post are real, but those give different error messages. Please understand if we don't reveal details about the error messages as we need to ensure that the way we detect hacks stays confidential.
We wanted to give players that use shared computers a chance to avoid hacking detection. Any questions about experienced issues can be answered in support.

We investigate every hacking report and only permaban hackers for the first offense if the hack was clearly proven or they hack right in front of us. For example when one of the GMs plays in a room where a player is shooting obviously through a wall everything that moves with golden headshots, we can assume that the player is obviously cheating by using hacks and will receive a permanent block no matter if there were previous hacking detection or not.

I hope this answered some of your questions and concerns.

Very good news to stop this cheater invasion finally!
