Yup. I still don't think the 2 CFS thing a year will be happening though. If you look at the way CFS is structured, there is no way they could do 2 this year without having started anything by now. But its nice to see WCA Supporting Crossfire. If you also dig deeper the "Americas" prize pool is listed as 58,000 for crossfire.
Also the link you posted was last years which had 7 games and 3.2 million in prizing.
This year features 16 million with events starting in the summer lasting a big portion of the year. With crossfire receiving by the looks of it 250k for Regional quals and around 500-750k overall. -

According to their online postings there will be 4 regional lan events (one of which that according to their site is going to be somewhere in the western United states) as well as an online qualifier process. Id expect it to show similarities to WCG as its ran by some of the same people. -

Yeah but it also said that those events are not focused primarily on Crossfire. The main event has online qualifiers (at least to my understanding).michealdrkk wrote: »Carbon would win online or at lan, doesn't really make a difference
I think it would make a difference. -
Whether we have 120 teams or 12, Ill be excited to see the competition for such a high prize pool.
Dont see how you can be excited watching the same 10 people battle it out every week.
Sure, might be exciting when they're actually international, but here? pshh -

The systems will never be flawless, but constantly having the mentality that the majority of players cheat is silly. While yes im sure there is people in the community who have a history of cheating or maybe even still attempt to do so, but to label this as the majority is just wrong. There will always be those who work for the goal, and those who attempt to find shortcuts. To let either deter your motivation is just pointless as both types of people will always exist.
