Current problems with the competitive scene

On a more serious note, it's the same problems when you were around except to a more extreme level.
-Lack of players/team
-People fed up with the game's mechanics/quitting
-No motivation to play (Yes, we do have tournaments but it's not enough motivation/the prize money isn't big enough). For example while we had an esl tourney for 150$, csgo had an esl tourney for 250,000$.
So same old same old, it's hard to fix these kind of problems:
Why would ESL up the prize money if not enough teams are playing?
Why play if the community's attitude is so toxic?
Why play if the game is overall unfair?
Why play if I can't join a team?
Just some possible questions that a person might ask. -

actually we got 10-2 on sub by scum.msi
great segway to a current problem.
egotistical and *****y scum like Ace that complain about anything and everything.
Also looking for favoritism.
For example, last week someone didnt run anticheat vs laundry and they begged him not to dispute. -

I'm new to this game (as in I just started playing yesterday and know nothing about it either casually or competitively), what about the game's mechanics do people get fed up about?
Why is the game "overall unfair"? -

I hope Root Gaming can do something for CF. Be on the lookout teams. -

Speaking completely apart from the organization (which I haven't actively done anything for in a year), I'd tell you that's not happening. I'm just looking for games to play on my craptop and am looking into CF at the moment. -

Oh no, what is the game going to do without the support of root gaming????? -

I'm starting to regret using my standard forum sig over here...
But seriously guys, what are the mechanics that everyone gets fed up with and why do people consider this game unfair? As far as I can tell from watching a couple of CFS vids, competitive SnD gives both sides the same number of rounds and there's overtime if the teams are tied. That seems pretty fair. -

There are a few things.
One is the game registry of the shots. Sometimes hitting the same part of the body gives different results.
Another is interp where you can still get shot after you go behind a solid object.
Ping is another issue where people with low ping have better reg than higher ping. -

Ignore the trolls In this community.
What Purvis said are some examples of the game mechanics which people are fed up with. It's something mostly competitive players can notice. -
Not much has changed in two years fellas! Tell me wrong by looking back a page or two. There will always be a competitive side but just with a struggle.
This is why we've brought VGS to CrossFire with familiar players as staff. So teams / players looking to get back into CrossFire to play some tournaments/earn some cash, stay tuned. -
So when shots hit the same part of the body and you "get different results", what type of differing results do you get? Like, can damage values differ, do some shots register and other shots don't, etc.?
Yup
Sometimes shooting at the head will reg as a chest shot giving a lower value. Other times it may not register at all.
