When using PlayOnMac I get "This application cannot run under virtual machine"

Hey everyone, thanks for reading.

So I've been trying to get back into playing Crossfire for about a year and half now, ever since my windows laptop broke. I've tried from Bootcamp and Virtual Machines. But now I tried specifically a program that works for literally every program/game I've ever wanted to play on Mac. It's called PlayOnMac, so I decided I would try Crossfire on it. I downloaded it and installed it and everything worked just fine, I hit play after the updates and it gave me the error "Sorry this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine". Even though it's not a virtual machine. The application doesn't make it so I have to install Windows / anything, all I have to do is drag a .exe file into the install section and go through the installation. Anyone know how to fix?
